Is it just me or does this sound like a paid commercial and not an honest user review?
This thing zaps for about a month and then stops working. Beeping and vibrating works, but zap (the main reason I got this) stops working after a while. I really wanted this to work so much that I went through THREE OF THEM. All worked fine until after the first month. I was so mad. I still use the vibrating feature to help me wake up, but if I knew it was gonna come down to this I would’ve bought a watch the only vibrates.
Yeah, Jace I’ve encountered these issues as well tbh. Initially out of the box it worked great but the build quality and internals I’ve questioned a lot after a month of using it and those seem to be an issue. I’ve used other pavloks in the past and ran into these issues as well. However I still use it to help me wake up even tho I encounter issues with it sometimes. Thats the only thing it’s been useful for. Wish it was a better quality (working) product after a couple months of use.
Well this should be pinned
any ideia if they changed something to solve this problem? im really interested in this device to wake me up silently. Do you know any other device that can help , are you still using this device?
Should I cancel the order I just made? I need something reliable in the long term.
Does the vibrations wake you up?
Just bought this thing and I do have to say, it works. I have a bad habit of sleeping in due to going to work at 5 AM and never going to bed before 11:30 lol. I even sleep through the Amazon Alexa alarm clock, which is pretty damn loud. But so far, it’s waking me up. My wife said that it looked like I was having a seizure one morning when it was going off but it’s fine 😂
Haha..😂 glad that it works for you and it still works for me! It certainly has its flaws at times, but it gets the job done for waking me up.
do u still use it and did it help
@@rivall8105 it did help when I used it, but it stopped working after about 2 months. I’m not sure if it’s because I sweat when I sleep but it stopped shaking entirely, unless it was locked completely tight against my wrist.

So much for honesty when you are paid by them and not disclosing it
I wasn’t paid by them. I should’ve updated that in the description a long time ago. Going to be more transparent with that since most people for this video have jumped to the conclusion that I was paid by them 😂😂
Great video, but the background music makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon.
I love RUclips comments. 😂
There is so much worse youtube background music than this, go back and watching old ipod touch jailbreak videos, it's a nightmare
See I opted for a sharp stick instead of a spoon.
I am responding to comments about the Pavlok stops working after a month or so. I had the same issue. But I bought a few of them, Pavlok 2 and Pavlok Shock Clock, because this device is really unique at getting me up. I already spent hundreds of dollars on other alarm clocks that don't always get me up, but the Pavlok electric shock does. They also have a lease (pay per month program, so if have an issue you can swap it out). If you really have trouble getting up/being on time for college or work, I would recommend consider trying it. I have the Pavlok 3 (it costs more then the Shock Clock or Pavlok 2, but it has an added feature that I really like, you can set different electric shock levels for each alarm, so I start with a the sound/vibration only alarms, then I add multiple other alarms later in morning with increasing level of electric shock 10%, 20%, 30% (to ensure I get up). Also the Pavlok 3 has the option to add a Nylon velcro strap that is more comfortable and more secure/tighter, then the Silicone strap with metal buckle (so you can really feel the shock, even at 10% I find it is enough to wake me up, no matter how tired I am). I don't really need the shock most mornings, but it is there just in case (so I am up and turn it off before it goes off most mornings). I am sure they will continue to improve the Pavlok quality if more people hear about it and buy it.
I find it amusing how they called it "Pavlok", named after Ivan Pavlov, and likely refers to classical conditioning. Yet, the process the device puts you through is operant conditioning. Where's the hype for my main man Skinner?
Cheers sherlock
LOL. Well most people probably aren't aware of that. I forgot myself until you reminded us.
How do you figure?
Skinner doesn't sound as good does it 😂
I don’t have one yet but it’ll be on its way to my house next week for sure. The only thing I’m concerned about is that if I’m trying to stop picking, biting, scratching, whatever it may be, that I’ll just start using my other hand. I’m not a psychopath, I don’t just bite my nails on one hand. I guess for the left hand I’ll have to do it manually
So how is it after 8 months are your habits gone?

I stayed for the music 🎶
WELL IF IT WOULDNT COST 300 DOLLARS THAT WOULD BE A START
It doesn’t
But even if it did, are you not willing to invest in yourself?
Anyone know of a comparable product that is not hot garbage capitalizing on the "I want to believe" of a great new niche that has yet to attract competition? I want a Pavlok that works.
edit: that might have been too cynical. There are loads of alarming reviews though.
does it come with barking?
Someone actually went to Shark Tank to pitch Social Credit LoL
I'll probably just buy it for the alarm, waking up early will make so much time for me as a student
Seeing people saying it stops working after a while, I wouldn’t waste 100+$ on a piece of trash
@@xzFalla Well, The company says that the electric shock can be adjusted, Which I'll definitely use with the maximum setting. So I'd probably jump awake lmao.
@@xzFalla wait a minute, It stops working? Wtf I ain't buying that shit then
@@ThrenodyVascos I personally don’t own one, but seeing from other comments on this video, even the person who made the video claims it stopped working.
I watched the shark tank episode featuring this product, and they roasted the guy
What other bugs/ issues did you encounter? I had Pavlok 2 and had to return it several times as it no longer zapped or charged (maybe due to It not being waterproof).
It was great using it while it worked, really helped a lot and I'm thinking of rebuying it, should those issues be fixed.
But it's so expensive!!!!
Hey we provide indian shock clock in $55
Which have only function of shock watch which give alarm and shock

Can this be used for picking your cuticles?
Good question. I really don’t have any problems with nail biting or picking cuticles so I wouldn’t give you a straight forward answer. I’ve primarily used the device for waking up and sleep but I know when you raise your hands with the device on.. there is a feature that detects upwards movement with a shock so im pretty sure it works for nail bitting but just picking cuticles I don’t think so. Maybe if you raise your hands near your face to constantly pick them?
If you have a wild child that will not stay in the yard it would be cool if you could use it like a dog shock collar. JK will have to get one when I try to stop smoking 👍
For years I've been a huge proponent of shock collars for dogs when I had kids I thought it would be an invaluable tool to use on them but I was told I would be put in jail. I am always trying to explain that if you could set up an autocorrect feature on a shock collar it would be hugely beneficial to anybody wearing it.bpeople are always scared of the shock perception. as an electrician I can say it's harmless yet uncomfortable. The bottom line is pain and discomfort are huge motivators to do or not do something. I wanted to invent something like this for 2 decades and foolishly I listened to the people that said I was a sadistic lunatic. Oh Well Good luck with this, I know with proper promotion it will be a game changer for everyone.
its cool and could be very useful for me, but its overpriced
you guys can pay me. I'll break those habits 👊🤜
Would you show up to my house and pull me out of bed?
can i use it for arabic bad worlds?
This is more ad than review
Noooo this is the scam shock collar from shark tank
Why is this more like an advertisement than a legitimate review
What bad habit would you break with this device?
Impulse buying for sure!
Video gaming addiction!
Getting up late I panic even at night thinking I will be late for work, and i hate having to rush in the morning to get ready for work. I like to get up early, drink coffee and relax before I get ready for work.
Can’t you just take the darn thing off if you don’t wanna get out of bed or whatever else you are using it for?
Yup, you can definitely take it off Jeff. So it defeats the purpose when you look at it that way. However, maybe pavlok finds a way to prevent a person from taking it off in a future wearable until they complete a task? Only time will tell.
Scam product. It fails after a month? Bullshit. Don't buy more, people. Find something else
Also requires your email in order to use the device? A bug report that's actively available in the app at all times? A mandatory tutorial to use the alarm feature? Not disclosing the bugs you encountered? The app wants to be too much as well. They need to focus on one thing and get it working properly (the wearable...) before adding additional features.
Are there any other such devices? I really, really wanted Pavlok to be real but the more I read the more it becomes obvious they're just capitalizing on the novelty of a great idea. They found a seriously brilliant niche but rather than make a product that can grow to fill the niche and meet the needs from which the niche arose they're just slinging as much garbage as they can before someone competent decides to help out Pavlok's victi-err, customers. It actually really bums me out - because I actually really need this product.
So the original question: anyone know of another comparable device which is not a sad fumble?
@@CDVerderben second this, alarm clocks don't wake me up and instead everyone else in the house who is then pissed at me and I'm often waking up in the afternoon now so this is something I've been hoping to get but it's not looking good if it stops after a few months
Fake review. Just a sales pitch.
I’ve had a pavlock they work pretty well actually
This is disgustingly fake. I felt gross watching this… no other pavlock 3 reviews doe
This is a garbage product from a garbage company 😂
this is the same concept when you shock a dog. smh. and people actually believe this crap. you weak minded if you cant break a bad habit. its all in your head.
Agreed
But it does help. lmao
