I don't think it is the machines are prone to break down because they manufacturing that way as much as it is the Monkees operating them. I work in the service industry and I see the best equipment consistently destroyed because of careless workers and I see the crappiest equipment last forever because of mindful workers.
I could believe that but why wouldn’t McDonald’s just make their own machines are Taylor‘s machines really that special where they want to pay them and provide poor service, or is it just that hard too make a reliable ice cream machine
I bet McDonald's owns or has shares in Taylor because this has been an issue for decades and you would think McDonalds would change companies after their contract expired
@@dreamerofficiaIi mean you must be really lucky or actually have never been to mcdonalds before in your life, because the machine is broken just about all the fucken time at a million different locations 💀💀💀i have to depend on other places for ice cream when going to mcdonalds because of it so i don’t get my hopes up..
Why can’t McDonald’s just sue Taylor? McDonald’s has came out to be one of the most richest fast food companies and Taylor just builds the ice cream machines, McDonald’s can make Taylor go out of business.
Still Mcdonalds fault. The reason they use Taylor is probably a contract they have with them.I'm guessing the fat check they get from Taylor is bigger than the revenue they would make from selling ice cream or I'm sure they would change brands.
Just some legal advice, you need to be very careful what you say about Taylor or MacDonalds, you can be sued for damages. You are welcome to speculate or guess but to state it as fact, you need to be careful.
Bring back the man in a striped jacket and a food service paper hat who makes your milkshakes in an old fashioned manually operated mixing machine or who actually scoops your ice cream into a cone or dish.
They break down a lot because there is a LOT if pieces to those machines. It needs to be broken down and cleaned weekly and almost nobody knows how to do it. I worked at friendly, the manager taught me how to do it. After he left, I was the only one who knew how to break down the machine and I was a cook.
I clean my machine daily, and it takes an hour to clean. At this point im willing to hire someone full time to take care of the machine as it’s really hard to maintain.
@@al3ndlib I never minded breaking it down and cleaning the machine. That was a long time ago though I don't remember how to do it anymore. They had to call me in to come break it down because nobody there knew how to do it. I'm not sure what they did after I left because I never showed anybody else how to do it. @@al3ndlib breaking it down daily is the way to go though. It avoids a lot of problems. The longer you go without breaking it down the more problems you'll have. I was the cook not the ice cream person and I worked morning and night so if only break it down once a week cause I had my own shit to do
This is not true…I was talking to someone that owns an McDonalds and she said when they clean it they don’t put it back together properly so that’s why most of the time it doesn’t work
Wrong on all counts Mcdonalds are not required to purchase taylor machines Nor are the units purposely built to fail Nor do the units give unclear errors or give no information on the units The machines can be fixed by taylor-certified technicians for warranty repairs. If repairs are out of warranty then normal in-house technicians can work on the units
Have you ever asked a Taylor Technician? Censor his face and lower down his voice with subtitles and ask him why they do that? Upload the video in an anonymous acct.
Oh..... so it's, a form of, planned obsolescence.... just like cars, phones, computers..... and many many other products out there. This just so happens to involve the service industry. Interesting
Sooo many wrong statements. As a technician for 15 years for all fast food and many other restaurants etc. There is no corruption. Taylor and McDonalds are simply valuable partners. Taylor branded equipment in combination with its service and heavy discounts has always been the best option/partner for McDonalds. I can confirm at least half of a McDonald's jobs I get are operational error due to poor cleaning and no training in stores anymore... Also in Australia for about the last 10 years most stores don't do the recommended maintenance and just wait till they break. These machines run 24/7 for 15 plus years, could car do that with no maintenance I don't think so. Also these machines are in other fast food chains but only McDonalds have consistent issues with the machines not working. It's simple, McDonalds have slacked off on their training, cleaning and maintenance.
So this is false in every way. We have a few backwoods soft serve places in random parking lots at grocery stores ect. They all use Taylor machines and are definitely not broken. It is their only source of income and take care of said machines.
They aren't "broken".... technically. There's too much product when they start a cleaning cycle. When the cycle is over, it won't refreeze, and kicks out an error code. The "fix" us as simple as taking one or two soda cups of liquid mix out and clear the code.... but McD's won't let the employees do it.... it's a racquet for Taylor, who produces and services all ice cream machines for all McDs
No, it's because when someone is making a milkshake and someone else does it too, and it breaks down and it has to be cleaned for hours, so, that is the actual reason. thankle me later and please dont go at me in the comments for saying a word that is not a word
No you lying then just keep a baseball bat in there and then when the customer asked for some ice cream they smack the ice cream machine with the baseball bat
That's actually pretty reasonable labor rates for on-site specialist work. Also, Taylor machines are among the most reliable. Nothing will run 24/7 given the level of usage and how fast-food employees treat equipment. Also, there's a decent chance your McDonald's with the "broken" machine really just hasn't cleaned it and it's throwing an error code as a result which improves food safety while the employees that just smoked a blunt are saying, "Nah, boss, we cleaned it this morning!" Then the boss says, "Well then, It must be broken. Let's call a technician to minimize lost revenue."
Wow you explained the whole thing in 30 seconds, Johmny Harris could definitely take a page out your book instead of making an over dramatized 40 minute documentary about this.
