I remember hearing this being played at Volume 11 walking through a dark alley in the Entertainment Centre one night before a Sydney Kings game. Awesome atmosphere. Nowadays it'd be some Australian Idol trash.
A weird, artistic and glorious ad from my childhood - I'm guessing it was early-mid 1990s? Also I remember a Triple M ad where...I think a kid was at a bus stop with a bunch of other people, and they were able to change everyone's clothes into some outlandish costumes. And Doug Mulray was driving the bus?
@coughcool72 not in this one ... but most of the ads before this were wall-to-wall lead gtr. i know this cos after the first one played by kevin borich I played the gtr on a bucket load of those until this one.
This ad used to mesmerise me when I was a little guy!
0:58 - More than 30 years on, and the "Triple M whisper" still sounds as fresh as ever.
Loved seeing this ad played before movies on the big screen. Thanks for the memories.
Sydney rules 2MMM
this was back in the day where Triple M was at the top of the ratings, Doug Mulray was on in the mornings

Amazing ad.
This is THE most original ad for anything every!
Creative intelligence at it's best.
The best ad for a radio station back in the day. Loved the radio blowing up at the end.
I remember this ad well but I haven't thought of it in over two decades. I think it was from around 1986/87.
thanks for the flash back to my childhood 👍

there it is. best ad ever.
I remember this promo back when Triple M came to Perth. Obviously there was a few tweaks to the ad replace 105 with 96.1
where's the version of the ad with the 'animated angel" 1979-80?
Did u ever find it ?
@@timetotalkaustraliais it this one? ruclips.net/video/vlrp_i3B-AA/видео.htmlsi=A6VbchHDx3icU_rB
@DarkSta77 - did Simon Reynolds, by any chance, do the Kellog's Nutri Grain commercials that looked more and more like a bad acid trip with each one?
Such a mainstream station, go JJJ before they sold out
Great ad, very reminiscent of Duran Duran's "Wild Boys" video clip. Great entertainment!
Where can i find the remix 4 this done by members of Machine Gun Fellatio?
Did you find it? I would like to see too...
@@bloggaloggs.
I found it on MySpace but, in the 9 or so years since then, they've redone their website and I haven't been able to find it again.
@@APH1991 More's the pity. Still, that's gotta be the fastest reply to the longest interval between comments!
@@bloggaloggs.
It would be worth the air time if it were to resurface.
@@APH1991 Please do post the link here if you should ever find it again!
The original did not need any "improvement". In fact, it was probably impossible to improve. This one here is rubbish.
Visually I like this add better, but the music......... yeah lets bury the solo, thats what people really want
@playstation1980 who cares. it's still a commercial and it's annoying. don't let sentimentality change that.
Wait! so Dr Dan is a CLONE?!
Great memories
trying to find an earlier triple m add where its mostly filmed in the kings cross, at the start it shows a plane flying into sydney harbour
