- Normally my videos are about Amateur Radio however I thought it worth doing this camera-based video as a lot of Amateurs are also into photography.

Bit of a late comment but it's the Ulanzi for me. I too have both but I find the legs on the Ulanzi much more easy to manipulate and of course the price is important. My mate had a Joby and had a leg joint failure, something I'd only heard about but it did happen to him.
The Ulanzi is far superior in every way, I bought a Joby ages ago and after a while it lost most of it's strength and parts fell to pieces , the Ulanzi I paid under £18 for it and does a brilliant job so far. Time will tell how long the legs will last before one of them breaks through constant bending ? however if it does one or two years then you can buy another one as compared to the Joby it's peanuts !
How is it now?
Nice comparison 👌
Have a great Christmas Mike & thanks for your videos this year 👍👏👏
Interesting departure from the norm Mike. I use a Joby tripod to mount the small action camera to things. It's a much smaller version than the one that you've got, without the twiddley bits to adjust the head.....basically I was a cheapskate when I bought it!!!
For the larger cameras I use a Manfrotto MKC3-H01 tripod. I only have one of those at the moment but want to get a second (& a couple more mounts for the cameras) so that everything is interchangeable between the two tripods.
The Joby is junk it’s bulky in the hand the rolling in the ball hand it’s junk
