Hi simple runner. I liked to watch your review. I had have the classic Pegasus for road many couple of years ago that I used to love this one looks like a great version with extra stability and good grip. Totally makes sense the hybrid classify. I like goretex have a couple of stuff with this material. Thank you for the video.
I've originally picked up the Nike Pegasus 37 Shield and I got the Pegasus Trail 2 just ordered this Pegasus Trail Gore-Tex. Can't wait for them to come in.
Great video!… BUT I own two pairs for disc golf, usually playing in wet grass in the morning and winter. Both of them always end up very wet in the toe box (clearly not sweat), but not higher up. … does duration in water compromise gortex?
Hello there, if the shoe is submerge up to the lace level then, 100 percent water can still go in. one thing bout this trail shoes goretex its not full water proof.
There are a lot of negative reviews on the pegasus trail 2 and 3 that the grip performs poorly in wet conditions and the shoe is very slippery and dangerous. Would you say that you found the the trail 2 gore-tex to be slippery on wet surfaces? The reason I ask is that the trail 3 gore-tex has just been released and I was considering getting it for wet and rainy days.
Someone in Nike must have read those reviews. I've seen trail 3 gtx and it has a lot of rubberized material around the toe box. I Need to wait for more reviews to see if they fixed waterproofing issue. Otherwise I think I will go for Brooks Ghost gtx. Another thing is the outsole. Reviewers say these Pegs are too hard for asphalt or pavements. More like a trail shoe. While Brooks is a hybrid targeted mainly for solid surfaces.
I bought mine online via UPs. I got it fast. for work, hmm it depends on what you do. but if you are working in an environment that kept you moving from one area to another then yes. it is a running shoe anyway.
Hey mate! I do some trails here in Vrazil, its really wet, but sometimes kinda hot, not crazy hot as it is south of Brazil, what do u think abt me getting this shoe??
Great review.. One question, I saw a RUclipsr video saying that your toe can slam hard into the forefront toe box when descending slopes.. bummer ..is that true?
hi there, personally I haven't experience that kind of issue while on descent, the only shoe I had that issue was on the speedgoat2 of hoka. so far I did not experience it with this shoe.
Great review! I really considering this shoe for the winter season. Just one tip for the next review, look into the camera lens instead of looking to a screen to check how everything is in frame. It looks like you’re looking to something else instead of looking to the viewer 😉
hi, I bought Pegasus 35 & 36 shield for daily use , and i love its wet traction rubber outsole a lot especially on wet tile or marble, how you feel about this trail version’s performance on such surface, thanks!
I came across this after looking for a shoe to wear on rainy/snowy days. Have you tested this on any snow/ice? I know that it's not the shoe's primary function but curious how the grip fares.
It actually depends on where you want the shoe to be. but the thing is if the water reaches your ankle then it wont be waterproof. and I agree situations like heavy rain downfall you wont get much protection from rain but if its laces level of water your safe. hope I was able to answer you.
@Mercucial I bought this shoe and I went for a short walk to the town where I live. I walked in wet grass for 10 minutes and the front of the shoe was completely soaked(at the toes). So this shoe are not waterproof, only for a very short time.
After a year of just wearing Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GTX - its not even waterproof, and the sole came off all around, especially in the front, need to glue it every month...
@@simplerunner I actually had to buy them half size larger than my other nikes. (EU Size) Because at my regular size, they were little bit too snug for my comfort

Where do you buy those ?? there not on the Nike app
any nike store should have it. but by now they are selling Peg trail 3
do u think it will fit someone who has wide and flat feet ?
I would say yes, it really has wide room on toes.

by Normal size you mean true to size then Yes.

Prefer the Hoka ATR GTX.
Strange. My shoe gets wet within 2 minutes. A complete fraud company
