Yo I left H-Wood in 98 and ain’t been back since then! This Hot Rod dude look like he from my Generation and Class of 97 from “Tha House”. Damn fam! Why didn’t come down South with all of us who went to HBCUS and stayed and made a Life down there.
I meant on here and you still want these because I made a different with this life I guess I don't love these dudes are locked up for a real long time or dead sad
What are you talking about.....they completely destroyed East Liberty. My parents told me that it used to be just like the East Hills shopping mall and, now that is gone. And Penn Hills is on its way down. The school district is shit, and people can't sell their homes, so now they are renting to section 8. Same crap happened in Wilkinsburg. I grew up in Blackridge, and my parents told me that Wilkinsburg used to have so many stores.
I don't disagree with you that PH is not as bad as Wilkinsburg....YET! Again, we are talking about different standards, and an increase in section 8 people, an increase in crime, poor school district, and falling home prices are signs of an area in decline. But I guess not if you are from Larimer.

I have been accurate and honest about Penn Hills. It is an area in decline, starting with the school district, the falling home prices, and the increase in section 8 renters. I said (in my original post) that Penn Hills was an area in decline (meaning that it going from good to bad). I talked about how blacks tore up Wilkinsburg and were now moving into Penn Hills to tear it down. That was my original post.
You like playin the blame game lol what so slum lords and racist ppl anit a factor in to these communities to turn ghetto.. it dont matter pittsburgh is the white man city anyways blacks dont work around the upscale whites were not accected
When I say standards I mean what we consider to be good neighborhoods and areas that are in decline. For instance, my husband and I bought our house, and we know that we have a good resale value because of the neighborhood and its reputation. Even the Wilkinsburg part of Regent Square commands a good price. We would never buy in Penn Hills. Never. The reputation and resale value is poor. Certain areas command good resale value: Point Breeze, Squirrel Hill (even the houses are tiny).
There has been a slow migration east from the hill district, and black men have destroyed everything in its path. Now that they have tore up Wilkinsburg....they are moving on to Penn Hills. For some reason, they haven't been able to get to Blackridge, which I am surprised. Probably because there are no bus routes in the community.
Shadyside, Plum, Murrsyville, Edgewood and Forest Hills (although some will debate that area). The point is that nobody wants to say that they are from Penn Hills. True, there are some good parts, but the bad parts (and that part is growing) are destroying the name and reputation. And if you think that our situation is hopeless, then that is a problem. We come from a legacy of people who overcame a lot of situations far worse than our current.
Yeah, black people who came from Homewood or the Hill are happy to say that they are from Penn Hills.....LOL. Those are the same black people who think Penn Hills is a step up....well, I guess it is if you are moving from Homewood, Larimer and all the other destroyed neighborhoods.
Why so they can be looted and robbed? Lol idiot Guess all the innocent death in the area isn't a clear message of why no business will touch the place. LMFAO everyone wanna be Tony Montana but just aren't filling the shoes.
@@s.d.plissken8986 I feel what your saying but I don't think it was a reason to call ol boy an idiot. He simply suggested to bring jobs back to Homewood & I can understand that. But I also feel what your saying but instead of insulting someone, why not come at that person with respect since they wasn't bringing negativity to the table. Positive minds has a better chance at finding a suitable solution instead of negativity, real talk. J's 🤷🏾♂️
Lol I'm white and I spent the night on the streets in Homewood, dressed like a rainbow because I had a panic attack at a rave. It sounded like the fucking wild west after 2 am. I sorta knew what it was like while i was there, but I'm just looking it up and there's been gangs here since the 70's and shit. I am so surprised i made it, and I bet a lot of the people I met that night would be too! lmao
Just a Thought Were you at The Homewood Colosseum? I got popped selling ecstasy by a rent-a-cop at a party (rave) there in 2000. He took my pills and let me back in the party lol! Good times!

These videos are over 20 years old I’m from Pittsburgh Pittsburgh streets hood videos I was young to understand everything my mind wasn’t in the streets
I live in Pittsburgh part of Regent Square, and I never said that I would rather have a kid grow up in Wilkinsburg over Penn Hills. But I will say that I would purchase a home in Wilkinsburg part of Regent Square over any home in Penn Hills. My child would just go to a private school. You clearly don't know all the areas of Pittsburgh or the surrounding communities.
Again, It is clear and evident that you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to Wilkinsburg or Homewood for that matter. We will have to agree to disagree.
And if your perception of Wilkinsburg has been that it was always like Homewood or Larmier for that matter, then you really are misinformed. If you live in a horrible situation like Larmier, then you would think that it is hopeless. It's where you live, that's why you think PH is better....and it is compared to where you live right now, but overall, it is not.
Listen, if you are 42 and claim that you live in Larimer, then you know exactly what I am talking about----if not, then you are/were part of the problem. Still living in Larimer speaks for itself. I am sure that you want to run away from the reality of black men destroying communities throughout Pittsburgh, but that is the truth represented with statistical facts. This very video (and others like it) speaks to this very fact.
