About the composer:
This soundtrack represents an unexpected dialogue between two musical worlds, the fruit of our encounter with Arnaud des Pallie`res for the film Michael Kohlhaas. This is not a simple soundtrack: it presents some of the music from the film, but also many pieces that accompanied its genesis but were not retained in the final edit. It thus provides an extension of the film.
About the movie:
In the 16th century in the Cévennes, a horse dealer by the name of Michael Kohlhaas leads a happy family life. When a lord treats him unjustly, he raises an army and puts the country to fire and sword in order to have his rights restored. Видеоклипы
The ending scene of this movie gives me shivers down my spine..what a song!
+Leffa PaL Doesn't it just!! So sad
@@Ch1meraX Michael Kohlhaas, from Arnaud des Pallières. Well worth it's 2 hours of time!
This is the song I want played at my funeral.
A Mads Mikkelsen always good, great soundtrack and the genius of Von Kleist make a masterpiece.

Loneliness ... dreams ... rain drops ... with the wind ...

400th like
Only 400? This song is so eerily beautiful! I guess maybe it's better not many people know of this gem. It can be a secret between those who know.
What an end of a Movie
This music really takes me somewhere.....
Von Kleist's novel is a masterpiece though the film was just meh. However, this soundtrack and the last scene of the film is otherworldly and unprecedented. If there is a film that can only shine in its last moments, it is Kohlhaas.
Need to check out the novel. Film was a slow burn; some early continuity shots had me scratching my head. Wrapped up so beautifully at the end though. This song and Mikkelsen's performance made it something memorable.
I am inclined to agree with your opinion. The movie struck me as "silent on purpose", but too silent, although the ending scene is both the most genial imput of a soundtrack into a scene and some of the most powerful acting I have ever seen. Will definately remember it.
Agreed, the movie was mediocre. Then the ending scene hits you.
@@clutchingdaggerz359 Aint mediocre all roads lead to that final 5min, that is why is great.
So poignant and emotional
What a masterpiece !

Who knows what is the name of this type of flute please ? Is it simple to find some today in shops ?
Though I can not give you a precise answer in form of a name of type of flute I will tell you that any well sorted music store will be able to sell you an instrument very much akin in sound to this flute. (And also that I would highly recommend you go and get one because flute is a wonderful and rewarding instrument to play.)
How could you get the sheet music for this??
