Very cool Dennis! You know, not to make you feel old, but this conversation literally takes me back 45 years to your basement studio at UMS! WOW!

Thanks Jim! Which store did you come to? The first one was on the 200 block of Water Street, the next was on the 400 block and the third was on Hastings Way. This video was edited using iMovie and I didn't know what I was doing. This morning I watched two RUclips tutorials on iMovie and my next ones should get better. Having a slick, professional look has never been my goal but since I've got the tools right here on my computer...why not?

@dennislester9395 well happy birthday! I started at the one on the corner in Aug or Sept. 1979 I think. Maybe just for a month or two and then to the one down by Truckers Union. I can still smell the wood stain from that location. It was wicked strong! Great teaching and many insights did I gain from you!
I did not take lessons at Hastings Way. It was only about a year that I took as I recall. I still remember seeing Bob Walsh play at the Last Frontier during a union jazz fest. Bob did a 4 bar break as a tag on the end of some dixieland tune. It sounded similar to an entire set of drums tumbling down a stairwell! You just shook your head in stunned befuddlement. So funny! Must have been the Fall of 1979, because I had joined the Union that summer and was getting work.
