Dance Macabre has a hint of KISS to it and I'm loving it.
Yvonne Guzman I always felt like the drumming in "Square Hammer," sounds like, "Deuce," by KISS - and the rest of it has a, "She's Got Nothing on but the Radio," (Roxette) vibe.
And now "Dance Macabre," is the lovechild of KISS & ABBA for me. 😍
His influences are really apparent but not in an awful cheap imitation kind of way.

Alberto Contreras P. It is an awesome song for the bass and actually not too complicated to play. Even better is Con Clavi Con Dio and From the Pinnacle to the Pit.

I was at the Riverside show too, and I almost lost my shit...I've seen them four or five times now, and don't recall them ever playing that song live

I seriously just read a comment where someone said they can hear the difference in voices between Cardinal and Papa Emeritus. Like,you guys know he's the same dude right? It's Tobias,the only original member in the whole band. He pretty much IS the entire band. The first album was all him with a session drummer,that was it.

Gibson Crap - Truthfully and unfortunately... I’ve listen to the live version so many times before I heard the studio version and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. Still love the song but I think the live version is far more “electric” and has more depth and rhythm. Can’t wait to see it live!

Wooow, no dislikes! This band really keeps getting better and better. I saw them open for Maiden back in 2013 and fell in love with them, then again in 2014 and now I really can't wait to see them again! Prequelle is gonna be great. 😍

See, this is where it gets confusing. You say you miss papa iii. But I was told Tobias has been the singer from day 1 but you act like they are all different singers when you say you miss papa iii over Cardinal... this makes no sense.

Metalhead Lazz yeap, I also learned that in the last couple days. But still live performances sound different. I guess it's from the mask. III was sexier and his attitude was much more elegant though.
Deniz I don't think they sound different at all. I saw Papa Emeritus 3 two times and hearing Cardinal sing the same songs sounds exactly the same to me. I'll be seeing them live in December,if in person he sounds different I'll let you know but from what I can tell and after seeing them live before,he sounds the same.

It reminds me of "I Was Made For Loving You" by Ghost. I've always loved how Ghost sounded so close to a hybrid between Classic Rock and Metal.

The 2 new guitarists sucks so hard. They shall never play the songs as good as Omega and Alpha did.
Federico Vázquez Omega and Alpha were with Ghost for some time so they were able to play the songs well. New ghouls will get better. (Getting tired of everyone still talking about Omega and Alpha. Time to move on people)
While they keep doing this ridiculous interpretation of the original guitar tracks, people that notice how hard they suck will keep talking about Alpha and Omega, like it or not. Not saying these new guys are bad, they just can't get the tone. And I'm afraid that tone was pretty much the blueprint of Ghost.

Chris Turcot As much as I wanna trash on him, especially being that I miss the former Ghouls, I have to point out that the last solo is actually supposed to be Omega’s Solo. Mind you, that the White guitar is D Standard where as The Black is also in D with a Capo on the 2nd fret thus being in Standard tuning. He had to learn the second solo that doesn’t belong to that player. Plus it was their first show. And first time that the new lineup plays If You Have Ghosts. It hasn’t been played since the Meliora run.

The ultimate soccer HD that's because they know each other and played together for so long. I do wish Tobias would find a solid lineup so this runs smoothly and gets better and better in the coming years. Music industry is brutal and they have to achieve more success to expand their shows production and also where they play. It must be extremely expensive to put on shows and all the travel etc.

I totally agree! I was in the balcony and I swear my friend and I were the only ones singing along, screaming, and throwing the horns up in the air. The people sitting next to me were sitting there with their arms crossed dead silent the whole time. Didn't react to anything going on. I could see the floor from where I was sitting and no one was moving except for one most pit that broke out maybe twice that was only two or three people. I at least thought people would be dancing. lol

jimbo godwin I think the whole band was replaced. They have now 3 guitarists, 2 keyboardists, a bassist and a drummer. The third guitar and second keyboard also are backing vocals. Quite impressive imo, they've almost replaced backing tracks with live performance.

is not the first guy, nor the 2nd guy and in fact doesn't look like it might be a guy period. LOL . Imo, as a longtime guitar player, there was a musical chemistry and great tonal mix of the first group of guys in concert and on recordings
. This, whatever you want to call it, is far removed from a band and more like a singer and a constantly rotating backup band. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself except the Tobias guy markets the thing as a band collective when it doesn't look ,feel or sound that way. It looks feels and sounds like one guy dictating all aspects. LOVED the live sound of the first group of players, he should do the right thing and bring those guys all back for equal pay to his. They made the sound what it is. This , while in time and adequate, is lacking.

I'm just saying the initial band, which was ALL different guys was better and sounded more cohesive. Dont' take my word for it though, go back and look all their early day youtube videos. Stronger guitar playing, stronger guitar tones...just better. Plus it felt like a band back then too, not a guy hiring backup musicians like this does.
