Plastic Boxes:
Dollar Tree ($1.25) - Not recomended
Walmart ($1.28) - Best All-around Budget
Big Lots ($1.49) - Favorite quality on budget
Target ($1.60) - Pretty but not my favorite
DAISO ($1.75) - All time Favorite but hard to find
Container Store ($2.19) - Most expensive but good DAISO knock off
My absolute favorite is The Container Store box!! They are advertised as shatterproof, and are also food safe. I always buy the discounted carton of 20. Also, if you are in their (free) rewards program, you periodically get greater discounts. Right now they have 30% off all storage, and I just today bought the box of 20 for $30, which is only $1.50 per shoebox. I do use the cardboard shoeboxes, too, but I know the boxes sometimes get wet in transit, so my preference is a good quality plastic shoebox.
The container store box is amazing!!!! Totally worth the full price even better at a discount.
Thanks great video. I always used the pack of 10 from Walmart for $8. As I’m watching videos I’ve been trying to figure out where to get a more square one. I want to be able to have the most room and something they can use afterwards. This was great information. 😊

Thanks Robynn for your very helpful video! For those who live in the Northwest (I'm in Idaho) we have Bi-Mart which carries the exact same Sterilite box as Big Lots. Right now until May 23rd they are on sale for 99 cents. No coupon needed. I got a bunch!

Ikea used to provide the most awesome thick cardboard put-together box (a light green colour). It was far more secure than any plastic box and it had an attached flip lid. Very inexpensive, but they stopped making them. I am disappointed and here is why.
Six inches is a very hard to find box height, which worked well when you put a size 5 deflated soccer ball in it. I would put a tight elastic band around the ball and the box had enough height to easily house this gift. I am considering plastic bins this year, but again, the 6" height is hard to find in a suitable rectangular box. Thank you for your very helpful and articulate demo. I will just keep looking.
I LOVED the Ikea box and almost cried when I found out they discontinued them. I have had a lot of luck asking neighbors to donate their empty shoe boxes. It's been a blessing.

I am sold on the BigLots box. I think the size and shape is worth the price. I have seen plenty of broken DT boxes. It isn't worth risking the love and time put into packing a box. (To be clear I saw the broken boxes going to the "hospital " on video not in person but it is just as real.) Is that one very active kitty you have, or is it a couple? I liked seeing the special appearances 😊
We have one dog and 3 cats. ❤️🐾 But in this video the star of the show was our kitty Leia. 😂🤣

I know. 😔 when I bought my fist batch of ikea boxes they were only like $0.80 but now they are close to $2. I still have several on hand for when the box calls for bigger items. I still really like the ikea box!
I buy my red and green plastic boxes at Hobby Lobby and I'm pretty sure they end up being over $2 with tax. I tend to use it as a add-on when I'm there doing other stuff. I love their plastic bins but they are a bit pricy bought this way.
(I am lucky. My church is a drop off center so for the numbers of boxes I pack I can get cardboard boxes)

Did you mean thebted and green Operation Christmas Child box? If you are getting that box a Hobby lobby for around 2 dollars you getting a great deal. That box at the Hobby Lobby in Arkansas and Missouri close tome were 3.99 each last year.
My stores in this area only have them around collection time. And they run out sooo fast. I’m not sure how much they are but they are hard to find for me.
Hi. Thank you so much for doing this video!! I'm having such a hard time this year getting everything to fit in the O.C.C. boxes. I just need a bit bigger of box. I just don't know how much they frown on getting all different sized boxes. I saw your beautifully done horse stable box from Ikea. How much would I be disliked for sending in 6 of those? Im not as crafty as you, but this is my first year sending baby dolls. And unfortunately I've opened them and got rid of the packaging so I can't return them. I guess I'm asking, how much bigger is the Ikea box than the ones here you are showing? I am so excited to see the different quality of plastics. If I chose one you have here today, I would choose Big Lots. I love watching you, and get a lot of helpful hints from you. Thank you again.
Sorry I am just now getting back to you..... Unfortunately the IKEA box has been discontinued. But don't feel guilty about the size of shoebox you send. As long as It's something you would reasonably store tennis shoes in It will work just fine for a box. Hope this helps

They are really high quality and the perfect size!!! If you want to pack in bulk and are ok with the cost I highly recommend them. I just really love the hunt it’s part of the thrill for me to find items out in the wild. Also these in the video end up being a little more affordable. 💕

Yes!!!! I love both the larger and the smaller Hairmazing dolls!!!! I always try and send two so she can “play dolls”

They are $23 for 12 boxes plus shipping. I assume shipping will depend on where you live. For me shipping would be $8.75 making each box $2.65.
