We had no commitment to the running game all year. Kirby and Bobo came into this season wanting to be pass first team. Never moved away from that play style and had no plans to change. OL was built to run but we tried passing. Defensively we are top 5. When you're-1 TO on the season it means your defense is constantly in bad field position. Hopefully they get back to winning by running ball, elite TE play and a defense that doesn't give up 7 over the 3
The o-line has been severely injured all season, lacking in the depth to be able make up for almost all the starters being injured/unhealhy, having to rotate other unhealthy players to other positions to keep up with the injuries. It's been a real down year for us and yet we still made the playoffs. Time to focus on 2025, Go Dawgs!
Yes, to me winning a 16 team SEC championship still means a lot. One very disappointing thing to me was Greg Sankey congratulating Texas for a great season and making it to the championship game and not saying one word about congratulating the our Dawgs for making it there and winning the game. I think Kirby noticed that and fired off his comments at Greg about our schedule . The look on Greg’s face was priceless. 😂
Murry is part of the good ole boy system...i agree with players need to make plays but he defends BoBo bumm ass to the end...Vanilla playcalling at its finest .Searels has the regressing. We will see what changes Kirby make
I will tell you what went wrong before watching this: we didn't maximize our best position group on offense. We should have been running 12 personnel at least 60% of the time. Our offense was the most effective and efficient this entire season in 12 personnel. It also would have helped mitigate the pass pro issues we had especially against Ole Miss and yesterday.
That's what Bobo does, he runs a bland/predictable system with repetitive play calling that rarely adjusts to what the defensive will give him or to match or strengths against the defenses' weaknesses.
I cannot disagree with your assessment......Gunner had juice too(the three throws to Cash Jones, Dillon Bell-drop-, and Arian Smith were LEGIT), we could have won with him in my opinion...I feel like they didn't support him sufficiently for success, teammates too, but coaches much more
Aaron I understand you love Bobo but we should of hired Buster Faulkner and the only reason we didn’t is because Bobo is Kirby’s friend but the game has past him by and we need to fire Stacy Seoarels like yesterday and I don’t think Glenn Schuman without Will Muschamp in his ear is all that either!!! I would do all I could to get Will Muschamp back full time!!!
Has nothing to do with the bye week, Boise & ASU where double digit under dogs. OSU is a freight train and UGA/ND was a pick em. UGA blocking and tackling has been an issue all year not just this game.
If there is no run game, that is on the O Line, that is where we lost. Hard to pass, zero run, not even on rbs. Running back cant run through people they run through holes. Which is why they seemed to be shuffling. Looking for a hole to hit, that was not there.
what annoys me about our "Power" backs is that they are the main two that get hurt and never available both Robinsons ..Branson was suppose to be the "Next" Chubb. Roderick probably played in maybe 2 or 3 games the last two years. I get it injuries are apart of the game but damn your bigger backs are suppose to be the most durable.
This whole injury thing is getting on my last nerve! Do the kids just don't want to play with a few bruises. Or is the school afraid of a lawsuit? I just don't get it? I played the second half of a game with a compound fracture of my little finger. Told the coach to tape the damn thing up and put me back in. Went to the hospital after the game and got it fixed. IT'S FINE !!!

@@jsigur157 colbie young was 100% gonna make a difference rara needed to go tho for what he did. i’m not saying they were top 3 room just an exaggeration but losing the only 2 big body receivers we had hurt
Knowshon 100% correct. Pre-season, we all thought this was one of the most talented rosters in the country on both sides of the ball. Poll makers put us at 1, Vegas gave us the best odds to win it all, even CFB 2025 gave us the best offense in the game. Theres a common reason why ALL offensive positions struggled all year, and his name is Mike Blowblow.
Definitely more of a Georgia lost the game- don’t call the pass play in the shadow of your goal post with 39 seconds left in the half, don’t fumble after a long drive and don’t allow a 98 yard TD return and you win.
We can’t do anything without offensive lineman. I’m a damn old Dawg, and in my opinion, our linemen are so-so. Defenses knew we have no one to throw to since our “catching” wide receivers all left last year.
Wasn’t nun but coaching malpractice this year by us. The position coaches were god awful this year. Then nobody got benched nor demoted even when struggling. How does #7 stay at CB with his lack of effort, coverage skills, n inability to tackle. How does the WRs lead the nation in drops but never made changes there. Bobo MUST go! After Arian smith bomb he goes run up the middle, end around to Bell then a BS fade to Bell who’s 5’8. Your defense get a turnover on down at midfield n doesn’t call one play that resulted in a 1st down there. Gunnar played great today and you only managed to mustard 1 td????? Gunnar started 7/7 n we go into half with only 3 points. I wanna see a lot of changes made this offseason but 1st thing 1st is Bobo must GOGO
Knowshon contradicts himself. His first comment was "why get cute" and 10 minutes later he is asking for wrinkles. When the OL is losing their battles, it doesn't matter what the playcalls are. The offense will not be consistent.
With almost the whole starting linemen being injured/unhealthy, having to rotate backups and other unhealthy starters to positions they haven't played before to keep up with the lack of depth at the position cause of injuries & on top of being the #1 team in the country in drops for a good amount of the season really didn't help. This has been a really down year for us and we still won the SECC & made the playoffs, but to expect a team to just sit by for over a month on top of having to stay locked up in a hotel room for 24+ hours straight because of a terrorist attack and then play with the same efficiency as the team that is in rhythm and already has the momentum, then that's unreal expectations. The fact that every bye team, #1-4 lost, is not a coincidence
Imo our oline was the biggest issue followed by the wrs everyone wanted to bash beck but he was more of the reason we had the sucess we had than he was the problem as for iur defense they didnt get a lot of turnovers and at times couldnt stop the run or get pressure as for the game gunner wasnt setting the protections and at times he didnt let it rip soon enough and sometimes didnt let the play develop but those things will come with experience thats why becks way quicker release and command of the offense would have made a difference they may still have lost but it would have def. made a difference and idk if gunner is a qb that will make up for a sub par oline or lack of talent at wr and so fourth we need to make some moves and changes i think kirby needs to become a portal monster
That ettiene fumble was play calling. They knew were the ball was going and were waiting for that play. No play action to be afraid of. No QB keepers or designed runs.
You never do playaction in that situation. If the defense is throwing 9 bodies into the backfield, why would you turn your back to the defense? Run it. Throw it. But turning your back to the defense on a blitz is how the QB gets sack/fumbles.
@adenlycosky Maybe. But that wouldn't work on that play. Notre Dame sent 9 defenders into the backfield. Hutson Mason had a bootleg that turned into an intentional grounding and the fans demanded "RTDB, Bobo".
Bobo kept playing the worst WRs in the nation. Literally dead last in dropped passes! Murray, at some point, you gotta hold Bobo accountable! Its his responsibility to get the players ready and he failed to do that for 14 games! You wanna know why people want him fired? Watch what Chip Kelly does to this ND defense....
I think we should've cleared the middle of the field more with routes, so we could release Gunner for runs or do RPO options to open the run game. All our routes eat the middle of the field. There were times Carson threw to a receiver, and they realized too late he wasn't throwing to him; that resulted in a few tipped and intercepted passes. Why are all the receiver routes layering the middle of the field? Have them cut in, and cut out fast to create separation or something. Like tf. I can call a better offensive plan than Bobo. Don't get me wrong, I like him, but not at the helms. He can recruit, but we need a visionary OC calling plays, not someone trying to be better than his past.
