I have tried the lunette cup many years ago and it just hurt pulling it out and tried it again years later and still don’t like it. Now years later, Nixit came along and it looked comfortable and not as painful. The first time it would slipped off because I didn’t insert it in correctly. I have mastered it on the 3rd cycle. I didn’t need to squat. Just sitting on the toilet is fine for me thank goodness. It leaked for me when it’s my first very crazy heavy day. Too much too fast, but after the first heavy day, it’s all good. No leakage as long as it’s not a heavy day where the flow is within minutes. I just had to clean it out more often. Nixit is the only one that works for me. I love it! I got a back up in case. Been using it over a year now. Some months, I notice my cervix is lower so inserting it feels different so. Some months is better than other months lol. Get yourself a squirt bottle or 2 for when you are out and about. That’s how I clean my cups in between changes.
@Pranita N hmmm, not that I’m aware of but when it’s low, I notice it’s a little more difficult to insert and there’s more chance of leakage for me. So when it’s high on some months, I’m happy 😆.
@Pranita N leakage is mostly due to how heavy your flow is. Once you get to know how your body works with the disc, there shouldn’t be much leakage. Leakage does happen occasionally so I wear a reusable pad on my heavy day just in case. I have one day of really heavy flow and I need to remove, clean, and reinsert often to avoid leakage. But when my cervix is high, it’s less of a problem with the leakage. I have used a cup before and I leaked as well when it was heavy. Everyone is different so you may need to take a chance and try and see it for yourself. It may work better for you. All I know is, when my cervix is low in some months, I have a harder time with inserting it and that causes leakage as well. I don’t think there’s a way around the leakage if the flow is heavy. Just wear a period underwear or reusable pads during your heavy days.
Thanks for this video! I found it very helpful 😊
No problem! So glad it's helpful :)
What a great video. I ordered my nixit and got it in the mail a few days. Should be getting my period soon. Can’t wait to try it. Also, great video :)
So glad you enjoyed the video! Hope it works for you!
Interestingly these are the design of one of the original birth control devices for women, the diaphragm. Glad they work
Yes! I was wondering wether you could possibly just buy a diaphragm? 🤔😃
@@Missemilie97 I used mine d'or periods for years 😅
❤❤❤
Yikes, every time when I think I have to do this , I curse at my husband even it has nothing to do with him 😂😂
😆
that's a menstrual disc :)
Yes, It's a disc. The company calls it a cup :)
@@Cherilissa oh ok. Thanks for clarifying it up 👍🤗
Start watching from around 6”30 for advice on the inserting position. There’s A LOT of unnecessary talk in this video 🙄
thanks for the hate watch! Appreciate the support.
@@Cherilissa hate? Don’t exaggerate. If you can’t take critique, there’s no point uploading content
@@sophiaeribo commenting "unnecessary talk" under a chatty experience is unnecessary and rude.
Criticism?? If you can't be polite about it, there's no point watching & commenting on a video. Go watch someone else.
