I have this set for a month now. Initially it gave a great impression when I first tried it, but didn't think of it really highly. Now, after making MSEB and PEQ settings, wow the Estrella is very versatile, very easy to drive IEM, with satisfying bass, lovely vocals for both male and female and treble is also fantastic
Nice review. A great set up IEMs. Excellent base and treble. I had the Pilgrims which I found uninspiring. I’ve enjoyed the em500lm and enjoyed those. This is nice step up.
Sadly i havent used the dusk, but from numerous and graph and reviews it seems like dusk is for someone who likes a bit of neutral tuning while estrella is a fun iem. 🙂
I'm about to buy this set, but ngl I'm kinda worried about the driver flex. Some reviewers have reported that issue, meawhile other units doesn't have that problem. Also you got a new subscriber here! Nice video.
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Really appreciate it 🙂❤🙏 Yes there is driver flex, I just pull my ear a bit when inserting the iem and if you find the tangzu sancai tips to fit you well, then they reduce the flex even more. The flex shouldn't push you away, should be a great buy. Try to buy from Amazon, if not you can then easily return
Oh wow didnt know they were at same price. 1. I prefer estrella because better soundstage, the overall sound is very pleasing to me. While the em10 has a meh treble and the soundstage isnt that good. 2. I prefer em10 because it plays fantastically well in low volumes. The bass hits really hard specially the sub bass! Estrella is a mid to high volume set, treble could be a bit spicy for some. Hope this was a good brief for your question 🙂
Sorry I meant to say boomy sub-bass. Sorry I didn't mean to say that bass was uncontrolled. A bit of boomyness to the sub-bass gives makes it sound fuller if done well, which the Estrella does. My bad, I should have been more clear. Thank you for the comment. 🙂
@@hokagoteatimereviews nono I'm not trying to school you, just in audiophile language boomy, shrill, peaky, muffled, washed out, etc are more negative terms. Vs Rumble, controlled, powerful, technical, precise.
@@pascaljean2333 ah no thats completely fine! I get it. Its just that I guess different people have different explainations for same word. hello! 👋 If you like the EW200 sound simgot ea1000 pops into my mind. Simgot house sound very similar to ew200. You can also try the simgot supermix 4 at about $120-140 during the sale, it will have more bass than the ea1000 and ew200 though but have a similar simgot house sound
Have both. Doscincos bass stands out a drop more and has smoother treble, not as wide stage. Better all rounder for bass fans who are sensitive to spicy treble.
@@moonsofjupiterThe Doscincos are almost perfect imo, but I wish a very slightly more clarity and detail. Does the Estrella offer slightly better clarity and detail while maintaining the same awesome bass and Overalls signature as the Doscincos?

Hey thanks for the comment 🙂 Well for some people yed it could be a bit overpowering. For me its ok. But the 2 tape mods shall help you with that. Specially the micropore tape mod..🙂
Nope. Hi hats, cymbals, etc. are crisp and present in the track. One little caveat is that the Estrella stock does have quite a lot of sub-bass; it can be REALLY rumbly on certain tracks, bordering on even being a little distracting, personally (doesn't cross the line, though). If it's too much for you, experiment with the tape mod, which specifically dips it down.
@@Voider6211 @Voider6211 My only concern is that my library needs a bass shelf or scope to clean a little bit of instruments and energy, hard to handle weeb stuff with like more warmer supernova - talking about tape mod
try sticking a iem nozzle filter mesh on the back vent of estrella instead of clear tape that blocks all the air and makes the bass too subdued and therefore the perception of treble too piercing. bass sounds more detailed and textured on my hype2 this way over no tape, clear tape killed too much bass for my taste.
Sorry to disagree but the vacals on this set are terrible mate... They are extremely sibilant... The s's and t's at the ends are extremely distracting and in JPOP they are absolutely horrendous
Thats completely fine. But have you tried tip rolling? Because i had a similar experience as you. I had to test various tips before i settled on the divinus widebore. The estrella has a bit of a weird shape and sadly is very tip dependant. 😅
No, I refuse your disagreement. Do you even have it?? I have Estrella and I'm using it with my Redmi Note 10 Pro and my Hiby R4 Evangelion, and I have a library of 11hrs of CPOP, and I love listening to Metal songs as well. There is little sibilance in Estrella, and it is very tolerable matter of fact the vocals are originally recessed and I had to EQ a bit to make the vocals a little thicker to my liking. It passed my sibilance test, My Love by Lee Hyeon Seob. If first 30 seconds and the cymbals, s, ch sound annoying, it's bad for me. Estrella passes that, with or without the tape mod.
@@hokagoteatimereviewsi think it depends on the ears since I only used the included foam tips.
