- A short video about my 1958 Henry wooden boat, spent cruising around Lake Ponemah in Fenton, MI. This is a 17 ft lapstrake skiff powered by a 1960 McCulloch Flying Scott 60 hp outboard.

Sweet video! Flying Scott! Yes!
You know it!
I love it. Growing up, we had a Lee Ships 16" (deep and wide) wooden boat with no ribs, but thick planks formed in a mold. This heavy boat had a cutter bow and a gentle flare, so it was good in heavy chop, but did not plane well with a heavy load. We powered it with a brand new 62 Royal Scott Custom (43.7 hp) and ran it for 9 very busy seasons before dry rot started getting to it. Top speed around 27 with one aboard, diminishing quickly with more passengers. (white exterior and varnished decks like your Henry)
Hello Matt from Australia, that's a real nice boat you have there mate. Thanks for the video 🙂
Hey, thanks for watching it!!
