This video may have saved my bacon....Had a massive coolant leak, was preparing to tear into the intake but then noticed it was wet under that part.....going to pick it up and hopefully that'll be the fix! Thanks a million.

Do you think I can change the heater valve without flushing the coolant? This being elevated would the coolant make a huge mess?

You will loose some coolant but no if you put the same coolant in that is currently in the system the coolant flush isn't necessary. So if you gave green in make sure you top it off with green. Or whatever color is in it just make sure you use the same color.

Always be sure to dial 811 before installing new plumbing in your vehicle.

    NEED HELP!
so i was sitting in my 04 eddie baugher, expedition talking to my wife. AC suddenly got hot, and a few seconds later, heard a beep. Dashboard said "check gauge" and i saw the temp gauge was all the way up. Immediately shut it off. Looked under hood. No coolant. Small wet spot underneath coolant/heater control valve. (i looked it up after removing it ) there was initially a hissing noise and with soapy water i found it leaking. It was broken off into one of the hoses. It has 2 larger hoses, and one smaller hose. Can anyone give me more info and recommendations please! Already ordered a new part from Ford. Anything else i should check or look into?

Sounds like you figure out your issue, I would just make sure you use the correct color engine coolant good luck!
