If you were wondering about the speaking bass part that Mike did in the original, they were asked to change that part.. I know Mike had some health issues, but it seemed there were some other issues between him and the rest of the guys when he left.. Or so it sounded that way in the interview I saw... Shawn was the one after being the Judge in the Sing Off season 4, when HF won talked to them about doing a cover... B2M had a big hand in them doing this song and Shawn was very impressed the way it turned out Great reaction guys!! New sub and a Home Fry
There is nothing Home Free can't do! Check out When a Man Loves a Woman. Percy Sledge would be so very proud! it will blow your mind. PLEASE!!!! Love your reactions!
I’m really enjoying your reactions to Home Free. These 5 gentlemen did a fantastic job! Would like to see your reactions to their cover of When a Man Loves a Woman. It’s an Austin lead and Adam runs rampant with the beatboxing. Austin’s supported by Rob and Chances smooth harmonies and Tim wonderful Bass. I think it’s one of their best covers.
Home Free is known for great harmonies. When they were on the Sing Off (they won in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they did justice to the song. Rob, glasses and lead here, has a beautiful voice and shows some soul. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs. Helplessly Hoping, Brothers in Arms, So Long Dixie, In the Blood. Good reactions!😄
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance harmonizing in the back, Tim adding some bass & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. All their songs are good whether it is serious, heart warming or funny.
Austin the high tenor is 36, he's the youngest of the group, & Tim the bass also the lead on this song is 41, which makes him the oldest of the five members. Home Free has had this lineup since 2016 when Chris Rupp left to pursue a solo career, that's when Adam Chance joined the group.
I loved this! They are so versatile in any genre. You should listen to Nessun Dorma and opera cover by Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown. Rob is actually trained in opera and you would be very surprised to hear this.
LMAO... yeah guys ... please don't sing, Awesome reaction! May I suggest Home Free-"LISTEN TO THE MUSIC" a Dobbie Brothers song from 1973. Such a feel good song along with their vocals. peace
@@tazzznphilly seriously check out more Home Free.. I been following them for 2 yrs and never a bad release. Of course some better then others depending on your taste but VOCALS are ALWAYS on point!
Christmas is coming - I'd suggest Home Free's live video collaborations with Alabama on "Christmas in Dixie" and with the Oak Ridge Boys on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". Both are simply gorgeous.
Love the reaction. As a long time Home Fry any song they sing will not disappoint. I do highly recommend that you react to a wide variety of their music BEFORE you react to "Mayday". I promise the wait will be worth it. Check out their cover of "How Great Thou Art". These guys can be hilarious as well! Love from the #homefries
They all were phenomenal but Rob took us to church !... Stockman of B2M was a judge on the Song Off the season Home Free competed and reportedly approves this rendition...of 🌿🌿🌿
I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads, fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion that makes it complete. Suggestions:"When A Man Loves A Woman" "Can't Stop The Feeling" "Castle On The Hill" "Butts Remix" "How Great Thou Art" The best A-Cappella group for me!! A real Home Fry from the Netherlands!!😊
One of the great things about Home Free, and there are many, is the respect they show towards songs they cover while giving them their HF tweaks. Would LOVE to see your reaction to Home Free's cover of "American Pie". The original singer/song writer, Mr. Don McLean, contacted HF to do the 50th anniversary recording of his iconic song with him. It was recorded during quarantine. Amazing rendition!! Thanks for the joy! OOPs almost forgot, great HF cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" also.
So... It's a short one, but Home Free does a Crosby Stills & Nash cover; Helplessly Hoping. It's stunning. It's haunting. It's total ear candy. You'll love it and you'll wish it were longer.
One thing I love about Home Free covers is that they always try to remain true to the original and honor the music and artist. They recently released Doobie Brothers - Listen to the Music, and Ray Stevens - The Mississippi Squirrel Revival.
Home Free-isms! Love it that’s exactly what they do. They put their own spin in and you’re not expecting it and it’s always beautiful! That’s what sets them apart from everybody else.
Loved your reaction....I just subbed for more Home Free! I love watching reactors enjoy these guys as much as we do! You should check out Unchained Melody or American Pie featuring Don McLean!
One of their most recent, Listen to the Music, is a great tribute to the Doobie Brothers. They did a couple during Covid lockdown. One was a Sea Shanty Medley. Another was the "Rick roller" Never Gonna Give You Up".
Blue Ain't Your Color their Motown cover of the country song. Helplessly Hoping cover (Crosby, Stills, Nash). In the Blood (John Mayor cover) is gorgeous and very moving. So many good ones. I also recommend checking out Voice Play's nearly a capella cover of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters.
New Home Fry sub, loved your reactions guys, I can tell you like to have fun, & I'm definitely along for your Home Free rabbit hole ride. Thanks for the song & for making me smile, take care & see you again soon!! 🍟❤️
You guys definitely need to react to When a Man Loves a Woman that they did Austin takes a lead on that one! This one was done during lockdown, they were not even in the same room. And for fun do they're cover of the o j's love train. New subscriber for more Home Free 🏡 ✨️ 🙌
Great reactionmy suggestion for another reaction to home free would be a song called listen to the music, originally done by The Doobie Brothers. In 1970 they killed this one also. I think you might also enjoy a song. They cover called Love Train originally done by the OJays.
Love Train was so good, it got Ms. Diana Ross to invite them to perform at her 75th birthday party. I also recommend their collaboration with Kenny Rogers in Children Go Where I Send Thee.
Some Home Free suggestions; Spiritual: How Great Thou Art. Romantic: When a Man Loves a Woman 5 Part Harmony (No beat boxing): Brothers in Arms. Motown (sorta): Blue Ain't Your Color. Country: Hillbilly Bone. Funny Medley: Butt's Remix and Country Fried Pop Medley. Christmas: Mary Did You Know. Beat Boxing: Adam Rupp's Drum Solo. Collaboration: American Pie and Elvira. Patriotic: Tavelin Soldier, God Bless the U.S.A, and Land of the Free. Other Great Songs: In the Blood, My Church, Amazed, Blue Ain't Your Color, Folsom Prison Blues, and Fishin’ in the Dark / Down in the Boondocks.
I started falling in love with a Capella groups about 3 years ago, and never looked back.....just the skill alone, in creating instruments like in a band, with just their voices, sets these groups apart from all the rest, and their skills are beyond mention! Another thing I also appreciate as well, is they are able to cross genres with ease, as in the case, where Home Free is generally Country, they can also do soul, rock pop, and everything in-between. I would love you to check out their version of Johnny Cash’s, Folsom Prison Blues, and Country boys trying sing Opera(Nessun Dorma), just so you can see their versatility 😊
Awesome Reaction!! Subcribed!! Taxx was jamming and Philly looked like he was zoning. Your comments were spot on. Enjoyed your responses to a great group of artists.
The videos of original Home Free songs include: "What's Left of My Heart", "Understand" and "Remember This" (among others by the bass Tim Foust); "Stargazer Lilies", "Love Me Like That" and "Save the World" (among others by high tenor Austin Brown). Because of the variety of music some have called it a squirrel's nest rather than a rabbit hole!
Guys, we rold ya....Home Free may lean country but they can sing almost everything and they do....how about something from The Boss (Springsteen)...their cover of Born in the USA will give you a chance to finally hear Chance's voice which he has been a background vocal in the 1st two.
If u like to laugh I have a few that would do it. 1. The butts remix 2.country fried pop medley 3. All about that bass 4. I swear Two song covers of Johnny cash. Ring of fire And Folsom prison, blues
Welcome to the COOLEST channel out there! Thanks for joining. Hope u stay. We like to communicate and have contests and other fun stuff here. ~ Tazzz ~
I was swaying and bobbing right along with you. Hard to admit that a couple of my favorite mo town Philly runs have now been replaced. Didn’t know it was possible to put more emotion into this song. They did.
Absolutely love these guys! ❤️ One song and you are hooked! Saw them live in October and going again in April. They are as good live as they are in the videos! Great reaction! Keep them coming for this new subscriber! Thanks!
Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men on The Sing-Off, an acapella competition, compared Tim"s low notes ( which you haven't heard of you haven't seen one or both versions of Ring of Fire,) to Michael McCary. Shawn also was a great admirer of Austin Brown who is the high tenor.. Tim's speaking voice is a deep resonate tone, but it isn't extremely deep. Tim has a five octave range which means besides bass, he can also sing baritone and tenor. You might want to check his solo Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay where he sings all the parts acapella. Home Free was founded by Chris Rupp and his younger brother Adam and Adam's best friend Matt Atwood in 2001 in Minnesota Adam and Matt were teens. Through the years Home Free had numerous singers and changes. Until the group finally was: Austin Brown+-high tenor Tim Foust ,-bass (and baritone and tenor,) Robb Lundquist+ lead tenor, Adam Rupp -beat boxer and tenor Chris Rupp - baritone Home Free won season four of The Sing-Off. Chris Rupp resigned in ,2016, to do solo projects. He is the guy with the cowboy hat in the older videos . Adam Chance replaced Chris Rupp. He is called Chance to prevent confusion. He sings baritone and bass.
Great reaction guys. Just a couple of suggestions In the Blood and My Church oh and for a good giggle time Butts Medley. ( watch what is going on in the background) it's hard to catch everything going on and listen to the song. You may have to listen to it more than once. Lol
Thanks Eddie. Happy ur checking us out. We a actually reacted to Butts Medley. Here is link below. 😏. ~ Tazzz ~ ruclips.net/video/7gOmMAr6eJs/видео.htmlsi=30SzNui28dpWldwY
You may have noticed that this is actually a cover of Disturbed version. They use the same form and dynamics. PTX tends to cover the versions of songs that they like, even if they’re from a cover. A good example is, Mad World, they don’t cover the Tears for Fears, PTX covers the Gary Jules cover in tone and form. Check it out
I'm sorry, buts Disturbed has never done a cover of "End of the Road" It is NOWHERE on the internet or You Tube's listing of Disturbed's covers. Why are you spreading lies?
New sub because of Home Free!!! Welcome to the*rabbit hole" known as Home Free. Hold on & enjoy the ride. Keep reactiong to HF and the "home fries will swarm.
And...another couple falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you chairs. You're about to be buried in Home Fries. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a world-class vocal percussionist and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), and his drum solos. For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome.. basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. For Rob's soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) For Austin's soaring power tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.) For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. You'll need smelling salts after that one. Don't miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they'll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother). And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll do a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’ve been hit by the curse four times now, and I’m not alone. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fries. Bring ketchup.
Oh my Lord, lol, thanks Gaia...mother of earth. I love Kratos, and many mythological names. Thanks soooooooo much for ur eloquent breakdown amongst the guys in the group. I need to copy/paste this bas boy. Lolol, love your humor. I have my ketchup ready, and im fuckin ready to go. ~ Tazzz ~
No disappointment, this was a great reaction, especially since it was all positive. I really do love these guys. I think their harmonies are really tight and clean. You guys on the other hand ...umm...I don't know what to say. lol!
Ohhhhhh, we have a Philly girl in the house! I was starting to think allllllll of our fans were far away. Thanks for subscribing, now u can be a part of the journey with us. ~ Tazzz ~
Philly, it's okay to speak the truth if you are not impressed with a song or cover. On Man Of Constant Sorrow we could tell you were enjoying the song, smiling and bopping, but on this song you barely moved, and I didn't see you smile at all. And that's okay, Home Free has a large catalogue of songs, and not everyone will like every song, and as long as you give an honest reaction then that is fine.
Well, one of the reasons is because I was focused on their voices and hearing how they put their flavor on it. I enjoyed the song quite a bit but the song is also kind of a somber song lyrically. So I understand what you’re saying, but I can tell you that I loved it quite a bit. The reactions will always be honest but don’t let my “body language” fool you. I thought they did a great cover and did the original a lot of justice -Philly
These men are so talented. They are also very funny. If you want a good laugh with their talent then check out their Butt's Remix. They also do a cover to The Doobie Brothers Listen to the music that is fantastic

Haha
Haha
Y'all didn't disappoint. Vicky, thank you!
Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~
They do such a good job if respecting the original and still making it their own.
Awesome Reaction!! Subcribed!! Taxx was jamming and Philly looked like he was zoning. Your comments were spot on. Enjoyed your responses to a great group of artists.
Awesome sauce! Thanks for subscribing, and stoked you liked it, Ginger. ~ Tazzz ~

This channel rules
Home Free was founded by Chris Rupp and his younger brother Adam and Adam's best friend Matt Atwood in 2001 in Minnesota
Adam and Matt were teens. Through the years Home Free had numerous singers and changes.
Until the group finally was:
Austin Brown+-high tenor
Tim Foust ,-bass (and baritone and tenor,)
Robb Lundquist+ lead tenor,
Adam Rupp -beat boxer and tenor
Chris Rupp - baritone
Home Free won season four of The Sing-Off.
Chris Rupp resigned in ,2016, to do solo projects. He is the guy with the cowboy hat in the older videos .
Adam Chance replaced Chris Rupp. He is called Chance to prevent confusion. He sings baritone and bass.
Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~
😏. ~ Tazzz ~

Thank you so much. It means a lot. We appreciate your support of our channel. 😏 ~| Tazzz |~

(Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.)
For Austin's soaring power tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.)
For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
(Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fries.

You guys on the other hand ...umm...I don't know what to say. lol!

😂😂😂😂😂😂. Damn! I love ur humor. I sang to you, for suggesting that song. 😁

I thought they did a great cover and did the original a lot of justice
-Philly
