Very very good review. Very good critiques too. I totally agree about the design flaws of it. I’m looking into getting a vintage version so maybe it’ll have a different strap. I mostly use my bags top handle anyway.

The Amazona was created as a travel bag to compete with the speedy from LV so the lock and key are supposed to be used to secure your bag when traveling but just like with the speedy, the lock is mainly used for decoration.
I'm surprised they don't have D-rings on the sides under where the zipper ends so it can be carried as a crossbody. Because attaching the strap to the handles like that, will wear and tear super fast because they aren't meant to be crossbody that way (any bag) because the weight isn't evenly distributed with the rings that holds the handles, it is only putting stress on two of them. Hmmmm, hopefully they will revise the design.
Love the review! I always loved Amazona but was a bit concerned about the ‘handling’.
I guess it was meant to be hand carried only, they should eliminate the straps and all hardware related.

Yep! Disappointing for such a luxury brand. I am carrying it and enjoy it so much though, but when i see the hardware marks on the leather my heart skips a beat 😱
Great review. I went to 2 Loewe boutiques and my issue was the bag zipper/top pops up in the middle. It might relax with time but it felt too light and a bit cheap. The long strap is too short to carry crossbody as well.

Such a great review! The design flaws are what bother me so much with this bag! I wanted the Amazona square in the 19 size and the location of the rings to attach the strap are placed low on the sides of the bag that if you’re not careful the bag flips over. Then when attaching on the handles, it seems unbalanced and will get a lot of wear so the best way to wear is really only by the top handles 😢 I hope they fix the design because it’s such a lovely bag but I won’t purchase if it’s not functional for me 😭
It is sad because someone in Loewe or LVMH should be carrying their own bags and seeing such flaws!! They are expensive bags and Loewe is a luxury house so you would think they would be paying attention to details. I was lucky to find mine at very discounted price, but sadly I cannot recommend it to anyone due to its flaws. I’m sorry you can’t have your desired square Amazona but Im sure the perfect bag for you will come along 🌈
Excellent review! You’ve pointed out some really good design flaws! Does the handle of the puzzle bag bother you when you go in and out of the bag? I tried it at the store and it felt like the top handle was in the way of having access to the interior of the bag….. Thanks for sharing!

Same happened with Fendi and they upgraded their hardware so we will have to keep asking Loewe to listen 🤣
Omg what you said about the straps not swiveling is so true! My strap placement is so awkward. It is such a beautiful bag and I love it but the strap just bothers me 🙃

I love my Amazona 19 bag. I don’t have the D ring touching bag problem. I do find it’s not a comfortable bag for crossbody but a great bag for hand held. The strap is too short for me (167cm and curvy) and the bag is too wide ( plus handle) to wear crossbody. I love it fits a lot for a small bag, I can fit in a book. The strap is a bit shorter than my mini puzzle bag.

Great review! Yesterday I got my Amazona 16 in avocado green. It looks really beautiful. But it has all the problems you mentioned except that the D rings of the handles don’t touch the edges of the bag. When I got the bag, it already had the the shadow of handle on the leather. Another problem is that when I wear the bag crossbody, if I put down the handle on the side of my body, there won’t be wear and tear caused by the friction between the hardware and the leather but there’ll be show of the handle on the leather; but if I put up the handle on the side of my body, there won’t be the shadow, but the strap hook definitely touches the handle leather near the D ring and this will probably lead to wear and tear of the leather. I don’t know how to deal with it 😅 Do you have the same problem when you wear your bag crossbody?
Its a design flaw so im afraid it happens to all. Sometimes a certain size will not have same problems but in general, the Amazona has a few flaws id love Loewe to address.

They do!
@@unboxingluxury1018 Thank you for the response! So, you can use the keys to unlock the padlock but the padlock doesn’t have a place to lock the bag! Another wonderful design detail on this Amazona from Loewe! 🤣
Oh yes, the padlock is for decoration but it is a flaw from the original design so I suppose the updated design couldnt get rid of it lol
