Tons of great info here! Also, thanks for the torque specs! I know this had to take you twice as long due to all the video recording. Thanks for taking the time to do this and help others like me!

Did that same very job on my truck 👍 well worth it if you want to extend a life of your truck , after that at about 300k tranny usually gives up on those trucks.

Thank You !! I have a 1994 Ranger that has developed a leak at the timing cover !! I thought it was some kind of spacer or?? I did not know the water passed thru that cover. I have to wait till I get paid again to do this repair. If you do not mind, what was the cost of timming chain, puller, pump, gaskets, etc seal tool I have. Also how is the pan seal holding up in the front? When you said wait over night I was talking to the screen saying wait, hahaha....anyway great video, thank you again, it will be referenced in about three weeks !

Don't 100% quote me on price, I think timing chain was around 50 pump around 60 and cover gasket maybe 30. I got everything on Amazon, just DONT get the cheap crap do your research on the product name before ordering. Few thousand miles later everything is holding up very well. As far as tools thats where it can't get costly, your best bet would be to rent your tools from the local orileys or whoever has the tool rental, I think the puller was maybe 30ish and installer maybe 50 again all amazon. Your biggest thing will be getting a impact on that crank bolt a big plug in one will not work, I highly recommend buying yourself a cordless impact for the job even if its just a cheap one. Good luck with your repairs and take your time.

Thank you, especially for mentioning all of the bolt sizes ! I had to watch to get balancer size 21mm. Do you live near Arizona ? Hehehe...thank you again.

Would it spark knock pre ignition under load when it has the old timing chain?
