  • 2023 NBA Draft Prospect Markquis Nowell is ready to prove that size doesn't matter, and in this 1v1 with Cam Reddish fans will see just that. Pro trainer Andre Brown has been getting Markquis Nowell ready for the NBA Draft on June 22nd and asked if NBA Pro Cam Reddish would go 1v1 with Markquis & Jalen Nesmith. This one turned into a good one that NBA scouts and fans will find appealing.

    Cam is the epitome of what confidence can do to you in the NBA. He has all the makings of being a Paul George type of wing, he has all the ability but he plays as a Kevin Knox type. I still hope he can put it together but just goes to show, confidence makes a big difference in the NBA.

    • @ugoakusoba4094

      Put him behind Paul George for 2 years then.

    • @purpleirklegrovestreet
      @purpleirklegrovestreet Год назад +72

      Crazy how u brought up Knox cuz even HE has crazy potential and he is only TWENTY THREE. The nba is full of young elite talent who just need the right buttons to be pushed by the right team. Wiseman and Johnathan Isaac are also two players who have injury problems, but have the most potential out of any players around their age groups that I have ever seen. Injuries suck too.

    • @williamwoods2151
      @williamwoods2151 Год назад +18

      @@purpleirklegrovestreet it's definitely crazy because when you look at all 3. Cam, Knox, and PG. They all are 6'8 or taller wings with crazy athleticism, handles, and smooth overall jumpshots. And they each can play above average defense. That's really the making of the modern elite wing...think Tatum for example. All of these guys should be stars right now but confidence and opportunity. Isaac is a good one too. Wiseman I believe will get there, he was just not ready to win in GS nore did he fit that system. In Detroit, he'll flourish next to Cade and Ivy. They have to keep those 3 together and healthy on the court.

    • @williamwoods2151
      @williamwoods2151 Год назад +5

      @@ugoakusoba4094 I mean, I can't make that decision, and that doesn't necessarily help him either. He has the skills already. Playing behind PG means he'll get fewer minutes and fewer opportunities to score. He needs a team like Memphis, who isn't afraid to spread the wealth of the offense. Miami or San Antonio, who seems to get the best out of players. Even the Lakers, I hate to say it, but outside of Lebron, AD, AR 15, and Rui...they need a player that can showcase some ability to get a bucket both off the catch and shot creating when Lebron or Reaves are off the court. Look at how Malik Monk has flourished in that role and are now flourishing because of that situation.

    Cam is so good. His height and length with the ability to put the ball on the floor to create his own shot make him literal and with having that length to play solid defense. Idk if its his motor or ppl don't want to give him the chance to really display his talents. He was playing with ball dominant and volume shooting guard with the hawks. Then traded to a hard defensive minded coach that want a 7 player rotation that focus only on defense. He show flashes of kd or Ingram like skill. To all Cam Reddish fans. Better if you don't have high expectations of him. He's a real talent no doubt about it but most of the times he plays with no effort. Atlanta, Knicks, Blazers. Always same expectations and always same results. I'm a Blazers fan. First i didn't understand why Thibs put him on the Knicks bench and stop giving him playing time. But after i seen Cam in Portland i clearly understood why Thibs did it. Cam is a big talent but he plays with no effort, no confidence and i think he's mentally not ready for the next step.

    Cam is probably top 35 most skilled players for his size all time. But he plays too cool for school kinda vibes. He doesn't have the motor. I've never seen a player develop that sort of thing. Hes up for a contract this year so when that number is as low as I think it will be I hope he turns into a DAMN monster. He's my fav player in the league and I hope he can reach his potential. The floor to me was always 6th man of the year but he might not even reach that with his lack of effort. The game that did it for me was the game vs the knicks after he got traded. Probably the lousiest i've seen him play and to show that type of effort for a team that did u dirty says something about ur makeup as an nba player. Cam will be a 10 year nba player just based off his tools but the time for him as a star is fading away fast.

      @@Mdksupreme1 im talking about skill level at 6’9 nobody moving like him, can finish with both hands around the rim, evades defenders. The list starts to get real short after Joe Johnson types. He definitely more skilled than Danny granger taking in his offensive skill set. Go watch all the most pure scorers of the last 20 years and if u watch cam highlights he right up there.

      @@TheBilalUddin He has always reminded me of Jamal Crawford in the way he moves. Their games are a little different, but I think a 6th man role would suit Reddish pretty well. He needs to be empowered with the ball in his hands, especially off rebounds where he can get going downhill.. takes constant aggressiveness, which I worry about. Blazers are a good spot for him though. They will need scoring off the bench.

    Cam isn’t good by NBA standards even tho he has talent. If he learned to play off ball maybe then. He had potential. I really don’t see him getting picked up this year. He also isn’t a high iq player. Watching him last season he was getting cooked and out of place on defense so bad that the coach just stopped playing him. He had opportunities with 3 teams now and has fallen out of rotation at every stop. That’s on him. You get to a point you gotta find your role in the league. He has yet to do that.
