Bubbaloo is a decent Mexican gum, but not quite a ball shape. But if you're looking for something spicy you could go with Rockaleta Bola, which is a perfect ball shape. Another good ball shape would be the Pulparindo Dots, but they're not gum. More like a fruity, salty, moderately spicy chewy candy. Like big ol Skittles.
I'm not a vendor, and my knowledge of Mexican candy is limited but maybe that helps.

Do some venders switch for 25 cents to 50 cents and keep the vending quantity the same, or do they increase the amount someone gets? I guess with gumballs it simply must just double in cost for customer?

I have noticed that some vendors are hard headed about going to 50 cent mechs in the Facebook group. They have their reasons saying that the profits are still good on gumballs and it deters sales. But my sales haven’t fallen and the wholesale prices of candy keeps going up. For the Mexican candy you have no choice but to sell it for 50 cents per capsule and traditional loose candy I recommend accordingly to what makes a great profit.

Do you have to load the capsules? Or do they come ready to sell?
