Bought the books and didn't realise there was a channel too, what a bonus. (Books are excellent by the way)
Good ole military surplus for cold weather gear like Finnish, Swedish, Chzech, German U.S. etc. Some great stuff out there!
Dave your influence in the bush craft community is world wide. I have noticed guys on the other side of the big pond using your cooking stuff and ideas Good for you
I can say Darn Tough socks are the best. If you do wear a hole in them, they replace them for free. I do love them.
Thanks for the clothe info.
Great video Dave! I hope you and Iris are moved into your new house. And I wish you and your family are healthy, safe and warm this holiday season. See you on the next one.
Thanks for the shot into the shelter early in the video. A guy could live/survive there comfortably and work efficiently.
Another great instructional video, i would love to know more about hunting/trapping. Thanks for sharing!
Darn Tough is the best sock made. I actually wore a small hole in two sets after wearing them for almost 8 years. Mailed them to Darn Tough a month ago and have two brand new pair on the way. I'll never buy another sock.
Wooo! Dave putting some of that donation dough to work with better camera equipment and a drone. Your vids were always good but now the looks are on par with the content. Keep them coming!
Mr. Canterbury I love your videos every time I watch one I learned something that I didn't know before I want to thank you so much for passing on your great knowledge 2 people like me
You are well prepared clothing wise for survival in the woods and I love your Russian made tent also and it must keep you nice and warm when you have a fire in the heater. I have plenty of items to stay warm, but do need to get a pair of those gloves for wearing when you are not going to be shooting and need to keep your hands warm when you just need to keep warm. The last time I saw some of those was when stationed in North Dakota and working on B-52 aircraft, but we could not wear those gloves because we had to climb up into the aircraft all the time and they was outside at the time.
Really enjoy this series. I don’t trap but still enjoy it. Thanks Dave!
Awesome info! I too have gone to the woobie and Lester River Bushcraft jacket...VERY WARM.
Perfect timing for Christmas GOTTA HAVE stuff to wear! Thanks for helping us ALL out, Dave!
As always. FULL OF CONTENT. LEAVES ME ENVIOUS. Thanks Dave for sharing!
Thank you Dave…
Haven't even watched the video yet, but I just finished posting on this very same topic at Woodcraft. I've been hunting in my old school 1/2 century old wool gear (Woolrich, Pendleton, etc...) and this'll probably be the last year I hunt in camo gear & synthetics. I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch over to mostly wool next season.
As long as it's red or green plaid (two colors deer can't distinguish) and earth tones and as long as I sit still, keep off the smartphone and keep my eyes peeled in a good spot, I'm better off with the wool gear. I'm not anti-synthetics, but I'm just lovin' wool.
My wife just bought me your book on Bushcraft emergency first aid and she bought me a book by Len Mcdougall called tracking and reading sign both together are amazing especially watching your trapping series tremendous
Love my Mora and didnt even know what i had till you told me. Lol
Im not a Survival Guy, but i loved Survival Duo growing up, i watched it alot. Im a grown Man, and after not knowing what to watch on netflix cuz everything is trash, i decided to look into what i used to watch on TV. Which is when i came across you and your channel. I just wanna say, thanks for being such a big part of my Childhood, definitely influencing my hobbies and interests (joined the Military when i was old enough). I appreciate it, keep the videos coming!
Just received my kettle and tripod combo, seems to be very nice for the price
Nice rabbit processing. I have a small Case xx hatchet that fits perfectly in haversack for the same purpose.
Excellent video looking forward to the next one.
Thanks
Cook !?! Where's my Hassenpfeffer !?!?! Love me some crooked-legged chicken. Good series Dave. Blessings to ya.
Looks like the ole woobie is holding up. If it can withstand your day to day use that's a must buy for me. Unfortunately they dont have that jacket anymore so may just go with the hoodie. Thanks dave!
I like the marina wool Farm too feet ( but I bought the Woobie too try it out..)🤷♂️ But deff like that hot tent seen a lot of folks on the trapset using em( May have too invest if my Gbabies follow in my love of hunting and trapping( and runnin dogs
Hi Dave, thanks for the great consistently great bush crafting content! I'd be interested if you still use the Weatherwool garments? And if not, why not? Thanks already in advance!

I 2nd ex officio underwear. For a while the quality went down. But the new 2.0 are awesome. They are pricey but worth every penny. They run sales periodically tho.
Just muck boots for footwear year round or do you recommend other options as well?
I wear Go Ruck MACV-1's 3 seasons and Muck in the winter but looking at another brand for Winter now-

My brother waited 25 years to tell me he saw a Sasquatch. A few of have seen them too.
My wife is allergic to wool. I use to have a lot of it for cold weather but got rid of it all.
Any suggestions on a good replacement for wool?

1st awesome video!
How do I get one of your t-shirts??
They release on our website tomorrow
@@DavidCanterbury sweet thanks Dave.
Bare handling the trap & set? Seems like a pair of rubber gloves would control scent much better.
Na, I have been doing it for years and catch animals all the time, have over 50 Modern Trapping videos showing all aspects of the craft-
Steel animal traps are illegal in Australia and have been so for many decades. I used to use them as a teen, but I stopped when I saw animals legs left in the traps and came to the conclusion they're too cruel. I use box traps to catch feral cats these days, and if a native animal like a quoll or possum gets in it, they're not injured and I can let them go. If I was in a survival situation, I would only then consider using these awful devices
Like too see a vid on trapping skinning and curing a beaver hide though( been a while since gpaw showed me.. the skinning part anywho.
Look in my Modern Trapping Playlist
That's alot for some underwear.
12:55 link to this jacket
What's the name brand of the woody? I couldn't find it info
Perseverance Survival
@@DavidCanterbury thank you
@@gdreilly It is called a woobie, because without it you woobie cold!
Cold with it too. At least the woobie blankets are pretty worthless. The jacket might be better.
👍👍👍👍👍
how are you David? how is your health? :)
No kidding, in the thumb nail you look like President Trump with a beard.
Could you imagine trump trying to make a bushcraft video lol
Thanks
