Thanks for your review. I've talked to a few people who have these boards and they all say they are harder to start. With the volume being at the front you have to adjust your balance to compensate and requires a higher degree of skill to a conventional board. The other comment is they weigh a ton! Due to the stepped shape they had to up the construction which has made them heavy. Finally the pop-up is subjective. Some reckon they pop-up easy and others didn't think they popped up any better than a conventional board. I guess it comes to rider ability and the board they are comparing it to.
I think the main advantages of these boards are the connected feeling you have to the foil and how it pops straight back up without losing speed on touch-downs.
But I don't think they are for everyone

    Hello ,
Thanks a lot for all your great contents, bravo !
I need your advice to change my first board (110L Fikka custom). And I’m interested by ginxu.
I have about 30 sessions of experience since last September. A good experience in windsurfing and kitesurfing.
I sail in lakes in IDF and north coast / Brittany.
Do you think that with practice and training I can get a single board for 83kg for 15-30 knots of 54L? I don't have the space to have several boards.
I managed to go from 110L to 75L in two 2h sessions this week in Cape Verde, I think I can go down to 54L again in a few hours but I'm not sure 😂
In Cape Verde I found it hard to waterstart with swell / chop in 75L. But it's only a question of training (I had only 2h of training with...).
I also want to have the smallest board to be able to carry it easily in transport.
Do you have any advice for me please?
I have the ginxu or the Glide V2 in my sights for the moment.
    Thanks a lot ☺️

Hi There, I don't have much advice for you because I think your train of thought correct! In 15-30kts you can ride the 54L with ease after a bit of practice. The only thing to consider is bumping up one size to the 62L as the Ginxu's ride small allowing you to add a little extra float without loosing agility.
