- ********Disclaimer: If your laptop is a different Brand and/or Model with a different bios version and/or revision, I cannot guarantee that this will work for you, this has worked for me and many others, if it doesn't work there is no need to dislike the video.********
Step 1: press the power button on the laptop and immediately press the “esc” key if this doesn’t work try holding the fn key and pressing pressing escape at the same time as soon as the computer turns on.
Step 2: press the “ F10” key and then as soon as the screen goes black press the “a” key and then you should have the advanced bios options unlocked.
Note: you have to press the A key each time you want to access the advanced features. I am also not responsible for any damage caused by modifying these settings, there is a reason the manufacturer locked them away, proceed with caution.

It's been days that I looked for BIOS mod to unlock Advanced menu on my laptop, no joy.
Can not believe this simple method help my SSD to get their AHCI setting, but it actually WORKS!

Note: If you set a bios administrator password you have to clear it before you’re able to use this method! Also unlocking the advanced features has only been tested on the specific bios firmware and revision im on, although it may or may not work for others.
How can I clear it ?
@@alchemax4966 in the bios it should say clear administrator password or something like that, if you don’t remember the password let me know and I’ll see if I can’t find a way to remove it.

@@abdullahnaeem9991 I don’t know it’s set by someone who’s used the computer, maybe removing the CMOS battery will reset it but I doubt it will.

In fact, I don't know what to do because I updated my bios thinking it would make a difference the notebook is HP pavilion dv6 BIOS version f46 the latest and I tried to do this part of the F10 and pressing A and it didn't work I don't know what else to do and the SSD is still not recognized and does not start the operating system 😢

my father had an HP gaming laptop before he died and I decided I wanted to work on it and buff it up. HP has one of the worst bios ever, it's like they literally don't want people to get into advanced settings.
I have an envy x360 convertible 15-ds1xxx. I am assuming there is no advanced in mine seeing I have tried everything, including your vid. Could you confirm this, and possibly help me find mod? I am willing to try anything. I have asked for help on several forums, but gotten nowhere. I believe my version is f.07. I was told that when I upgraded the ram, the vram would increase automatically.... I of course did not. I have 32 gig, and it is allocating 512mb. If I could just increase it to 2, I would be a happy camper. Thank you so much!

Question: does it also allow for some cpu overclocking? Im looking to do this on a HP Pavilion G60 and I want to know if it works and if this allows for it. I know if I set the overclocking too high, it will fry, just wondering.
Doesn't work on a HP Pavilion 15 laptop with a F.25 BIOS.
The very moment you hit F10 it goes instantly into BIOS, with no blank screen in-between.
I also tried hitting 'A' afterward and also tried hitting Fn + A at every spot in the process. No luck.

For this revision you’d need to find a modified bios on the internet and flash it, maybe you could use HP BCU tool and see if the options you want to change are on there as it shows some options not available in the bios.
I'm not able to access it bro.i tried every possible damn combination.

Every laptop model and bios version have different methods, for you computer you'd probably need to flash an unlocked bios
Unrelated to the video but do you know which one is the latest? Is F. 1B older than F.13?
Not too sure it depends on the model of your laptop, usually the one with more numbers is the newer one.

HP don't provide the F12 rev 3.5 bios for your system, so unfortunately you won't be able to access the advanced options menu.

I’ve been looking for modified bios files for months now, all of the old ones seem to have been taken down, I’ll keep looking and if I do find any for F.12 I’ll update, maybe if I can find a stock bios file I’ll see if I can modify it for you.

It's too fast between transitions, I don't have the delay of the blank screen, it goes to the boot menu immediately.
I’ll take a look but I don’t think this method works for F.48 the only other alternative is to find a modified bios file, I might try gather all the HP DV6 bios files and modify them myself, I don’t have all of the variants of the DV6 to test though.

Its too new to be unlocked, there wont be any method to unlock just yet.

It doesn't work for this bios version, your only option would be to flash a custom bios for your laptop, you may be able to find some online.

@@ansh7983 Flashing to a older version is usually fine as long as it’s 100% for your specific laptop and hardware configuration.

The HP EliteDesk G2 705 doesn't support this method, you would have to flash a modified bios, maybe you could find some on google.
I have rev 3.7 and it does not work (toshiba satellite c870)
This method usually only works on HP laptops and revision 3.7 also doesn’t support this method.
