Just knowing you believe in a Creator brings me great joy. My mother is 3/4 Native Cherokee & my dad is 100% Basque. I believe in the Bible, but I know many books have been removed & perhaps some of the modern bible was altered, during the translation into other languages. I'm really glad you two chose to sail the oceans & not be enslaved to the fake fiat currency, & the 40-60 hr a week jobs that come with them. I really enjoy your videos.

I love the re-telling and recollections of your life’s journey. Interesting statement by Suzie “Things just always seem to happen for us.” I’m an old man now and have been witness to much. Seems things happen for some and then happens to others. It’s beautiful to see such wonderful things happen for such humble and grateful people.

Confined channel or not, that's closer than I would like. A lighter vessel might have lost ability to steer.
Jules, have you ever thought of routing according to air pressure?
Example: in north hemisphere traveling east to west, steer south of the highs, north of the lows.
The Queen's Birthday storm of 1994 caused many tragic events. Its still talked about with awe and reverence. It has offered sound advice for sailing those difficult waters between Tonga and Fiji and south to NZ and even Tasman. That was good advice you received. You took heed of the seriousness which says a lot.

We just did this passage and arrived in NZ last week. I don't think we planned as well as you. The first 6 days were like yours and it looked like we would be there in 7 days. The passage is 1050 miles from Suva or Nadi. We got smashed by a severe gale on day 7 with over 50 kts winds and 10m waves. So much damage and 24 hours with many challenges.

I also sailed the South American east coast, Caribbean, USA east coast, European west coast, Baltic and later Canadian west coast. As time went by rules and regulation, restriction to movement and cost just kept getting more and more and as such took a lot of pleasure, for me at least, away. But it was an incredible good time and met hundred of very interesting people. Would like to do so again but age which is unfortunately part of time has a habit of catching up.

The result is a rock solid partnership that can withstand the tests of time. They’re such a great couple. 🙏🏻
