I think the "normal" random number generator, its not 2 standard deviations, 2 is the standard deviation. it will generate random numbers based on the mean and standard deviation you put in based on the empirical rule. ie, if you put in 100 and 20, 99.7% of the numbers generated will be between 40 and 160 (3 st, deviations).
