I had to follow the effing criminal that broke into my house and attacked us, cos the police never showed up, I had to follow them whilst bleeding, leeding the security company to the criminal. And now my court case against that same criminal is almost 1 year and 6 months old... And still ongoing.
My police docket was torn out of there book in the police station couldent even get a docket no. But when u are charged with racisim the police rock up at your door shit needs to chanhe before we decide the law matters no more

Biggest problem in SAPS is the TOP MANAGEMENT.

Knew a friend who had a similar issue. Was given a criminal record at the end but eventually bribed the officers to get his name cleared. The rest is history.
You can't expect one person to investigate properly over 180 dockets at once. Other issue, people are quick to open cases, but when it's time to attend courts, they drag their feets, especially witnesses

Detectives do not have the same promotion level as for other police divisions. Detectives at stations work weekends standby . Police cant pay them so to make up for this by giving them 3 restdays. This has a negative affect on productivity. Shortages of people willing to go to detectives is therefore a massive issue.
In the past police training was very stringent and tough and police wrote an exam to be promoted to higher rank today we are told that five years of service is enough to be promoted immaterial of how incompetent you were.

Portfolio committee on Police can do such an Enquiry. I need Parliament to do its job, hold the institutions accountable. Prosecutors are supposed to assist the police by directing the investigators as to what relevant evidence needs to be gathered or collected. It's the courts responsibility to take the matters in theirs hands to ensure that Prosecutors diligently perform their duties competently. It's the Courts that withdraw the cases and not the police. The whole Justice System is flawed. Police close dockets only after the matter is withdrawn by Court.
Commissions never helped us. The Commissions are all paid by the rich and what you are talking about won't happen, even if it did happen, it will deviate from the right to do so with the wrong.
Please do status enquiry, which were closed on 24hr inspection or 2nd bring forward. Then check which commander follows this pattern and investigators on case system. You’ll see exactly who is responsible. No need for body of enquiry, get those who know system and let them do an audit.
