I love this band and their lone release ... great songs! Also, thanks for posting the commentary ... cool info. about about a band that's had little historical overview since being active.

I had the honor to meet Coryell about 5 years ago at a small jazz club near Manchester NH - a more modest & engaging conversationalist would be hard to find. He said that the whole jazz-rock fusion movement came about because the new generation of young jazz musicians had grown up listening to, and wanting to play, Beatles' music....
Thanks for posting this. It's been on my "To Find" list for quite a while!

yeah, i get that, george benson did that, and so many others have done various covers and tributes of beatle songs. many of them jazz covers, even classical. beatles had some magical tunes. the songs captured the hearts of many generations.

He must've been influenced John Coltrane and Miles Davis respectively, and he may have influenced both of them, particularly Miles Davis because of these two songs 🎵 🎺🎺🎺🎷🎷🎷🎷

Totally. That modulation in the sax solo; yeah. God has really come at last! What happened to heartfelt music?

it (hfm) went on to be lofty fusion, they were all trying to reach nirvana, but we know through kurt cobain how that turned out. coryell is one of those truly creative types, he would have gotten there no matter who showed up to play with him..
