    Hello my friend you lucky man that’s definitely not nephelium lappaceum with the apendiges or hairs totally different species and especially the hairless one too they are all-so so tiny from your friend in Melbourne Australia Eddie the wild jungle fruit hunter cheers mate.

    Im traveling around on borneo right now as well and had a very similar one 2 days ago. Flesh had the same color but from zhe outside it looked like a jungle durian with the thin spikes like a hedgehog. Mine was 100% ripe and super delicious! Bought it because of your videos haha 😊

      @@allthefruit currently in Kota Kinabalu and will go further east into the jungles for a 4 day jungle tour. After that were undecided where to go next..probably into a more rural area to get some true local impressions:)

    The hairless rambutan is different species than typical redan, I think it is call buah bulat/mulat or bulal

      No link, just general local knowledge. When I was in Balikpapan botanical garden, the tour guide did mentioned numbers of species of hairless rambutan, but I do not which one in your video, i just know it's different species
