Lavni Khurana mmmmm not really, initially quinces were to show off a daughter as a potential bride. That’s why traditionally they would wear white dresses, to show what they would look like on their wedding day. It’s like showing off kinda thing. But it has evolved
Damn she’s one of those kids that did family tree thing on Disney channel. Her grandma cousin has red hair which is where she get’s it from btw .
Everyone hating on her should really keep it to themselves she may not look Hispanic but she is and she is proud of that culture it is great she is proud of that part of her and it is her choice to express that part of her. Also she does have to speak with a spanish accent all the time to prove that she can speak it. I think it is great for her to keep her Cuban heritage alive and it was a beautiful quince.

It happens! My sons first language was spanish. I could not communicate with him when he first started talking and thought he was behind on speech until his dad told me ombré means hungry or whatever lolol now, he won’t speak it at all! At least the in laws are working with him on it cause being bi lingual is sooo important.

I just turned 14 and I want a quince but I feel like I’m going to be like to white washed. My dad was born in Mexico and my mom was born here but her parents are from Mexico. All of my family speaks Spanish fluently except me. I can understand Spanish well but I feel that I don’t deserve it if I don’t know how to speak the language . Spanish is my first language but I have no confidence to speak. Also I have a twin brother so you know it’s like awkward because it’s not just my day, also my brother yk
