Epic images. It doesn't have to be narrated. Pictures are telling the story. What a relief compared to all the self-publicizing sailing videos here on youtube. Thanks so much!
Thanks a lot for those words, I really appreciate them... I'm not a big fan of voice-over on sailing videos either ;-) Fair winds to you girls!
Could not agree more! But what camera work!
Agree 100%
Especially Sailing la vagabonde. It was my best channel before, and I was a patreon... But what they become now its full advertising. Worst sailing channel on youtube. Nice to see great sailing in grey sea!
ECHOED! Magnifique, perfectly anonymous, you have my huge respect Pandorak 2

Great journey, great boat and fantastic way of presenting your trip. No fake drama and hectic storytelling. Well done. Fair winds from Canada
Thanks a lot for those words Arek ! Fair winds!
I so loved your video. Great production, well done!
Thanks Barry. I am a big fan of your adventures too ! Fair winds
Terrific video. Hope to see others from you. Best regards
You will! I'm heading back to the north next summer... Fair winds !
Terrific. I'll watch for you. I'm going to head North at least to the Shetlands as well, then cross over to Norway. I'll buy you a beer if we cross paths. Best regards
Ce sera avec plaisir Patrick! The Shetlands are amazing. If you can, don’t miss Fair Isle. I spent one week there on my way back. Truly amazing people (about 60 inhabitants + some crazy “birdies”). I’ll definitely go back there one day. Next summer I plan to sail to the west coast of Norway and explore the fjords around Bergen. But this time I would like to winterize Pandorak in Norway, in order to reach the Lofoten in 2019. Bon vent!
What kind of camera if you mind me asking?
I'm here because of Patrick. Thanks for the suggestion to watch an what an awe inspiring video.
It is probably the best sailing movie I have ever seen on RUclips. The spirit of sailing.
Thanks a lot Piotr. Fair winds !
Amazing footage! you're a very good videographer and sailor.
Stunning videography Pandorak! You've inspired me and so many others to cast off the lines and explore this incredible world. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and video making skills.
An absolutely beautiful film of a natural sailor in his beautiful boat in her element. Well done! Pure Art!
Thanks a lot Avia... fair winds !
@Pandorak I looked up your channel on Patrick's recommendation and I am awestruck with this production of your - as is said in another comment here: no words needed.
I'm a local and know a tiny bit about sailing in Faroese waters, mainly from a traditional Faroese 5-mannafar, which is an approx. 20 ft open wood boat. I've also tried climbing mountains and bird cliffs, even the steep eastern end of Tindhólmur. And I have to say that those aerial shots and close fly-bys at Kallur and more actually gave some of that real life rush feeling which can be hard to convey through film, and you mastered it perfectly.
You and Patrick and Barry that old Seadog add fuel to my dreams of some day taking on some bigger boat and go exploring. Thank you! Cheers to good health and safe travels :)
Now that's sailing so many have forgotten what sailing is about thanks you so much great memories for me great shots of real sailing it's a privilege to sail with you
Thanks Mark!
A work of art! I lived in Hoorn for 9 years. Love the place! My youngest son still lives there, so I'm still visiting quite often. The Faroe Islands look absolutely amazing! Thanks so much for uploading.
Thanks Christopher! Indeed, Hoorn is a great place to live, especially for sailors! Fair winds!
Great work!!! No words needed.
Absolutely awesome! Plus, HR 31 is one of my most desired boats. Congratulations how you pictured it all!
Thanks a lot! I like the dinghy too!
Extraordinaire, ça donne envie de partir prendre la mer.
Je ne sais pas naviguer mais c'est un rêve de gosse
quelques bons livres et un stage aux Glénans. Bonne chance !
One of the best sail movies in youtube ! Congratulations ! Epic!
this encapsulates everything about sailing I love.
Thanks boobs!
The most beautiful sailing video I have ever seen. What an adventure!
Thanks Arthur!
Great video. You should produce more like it. Amazing quality and authenticity. Thanks!
Excellent video! Really captured what it feels like to be there, and shows off those islands. That sequence from the drone with the cruising chute and the huge shark fin island was great! Hope there's more videos to come.
Thanks a lot guys! I plan to sail the Norwegian fjords this summer. Fair winds to both of you !
Cool, if you can create videos of the fjords in the same style as this video, they'll be incredible!
Welcome to Norway, should be possibilites for filming here as well :-)
Outstanding video, very inspiring, really make me want to get out there! I hope you make some more soon.
I will! Thanks Dan
Quel esthétisme ! Images très travaillées , photo impeccable, bien cadrées... tout semble si facile... pourtant que de travail abattu. Bravo
Merci Stéphane ! Bon vent à toi
Non so che dire.
Senza parole.

Excellent sailing and the footage and editing was super as well. Like someone else said, you manage to put us on the boat with you!
Thanks and fair winds
Magnifique vidéo que je mets tout de suite dans ma playlist "détente"... Vivement la prochaine !
Beautiful.
Woow! That's a really impressive Video, you might call it "Ode to Solo-Sailing"! I've done that tour in 2008 from Stavoren with a Wibo 945 but were not able to conserve it in such a beautiful way.
I know the Wibo, a very strong boat! It must have been a great trip. Fair winds for your futures navigations
Great video to watch. Et je suis sure que le maquereau etait delicieux!
Wow. Incredible video. So well made
Thanks Jtolken!
So good, I just had to watch it again tonight!
Simply stunning sir.

Oh man that was beautiful. The sound of wind, waves, sails the auto pilot and stunning images. Fantastic, thanks for sharing. What time of year was this? Andy UK
Thanks Andy, I travelled from mid-june to the end of august.

your movie is a blessing compared to all the posing sailors in caribean blue curacao waters... ;-)
Tons of thanks Georg! I really appreciate that :)
Georg E. You can sail anywhere mate, the choice is yours
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
I wanna do what u did. Awesome!
great video, that's the way I fly a spinnaker, like a big jenny.

Obrigado e boa sorte!
More videos please
Goegeous.
Wow, I randomly come across your vid and I was blown away! did you have a giro for the onboard footage, right? And the drone footage, cheery on the cake!
Thanks a lot Michele! Yes I used a small gimbal. Fair winds!
GREAT!!!
great
Great video, really enjoyed it. Pretty sure you weren't solo though. No way to get those balanced shots without someone behind the camera.
Hi Derek, I was alone. I simply use a gimbal, called zhiyun crane. Cheers
I live there!! Lets gooo
Waouuu !!!
stupendo
Grazie Paolo!
Who's filming?🤔🤔🤔
However you’re stabilizing the camera at the front of the boat. Makes for a great ahot
Is the camera mounted to a gimbal?
Yes
4 minutesand 00 secunds... Aja baja ...... alone in the middle of the ocean comes out on the deck and not attached to anything.............Routines save lives
👍
I grew up on the sea and have been watching literally hundreds of different sailing channels recently with a view to returning to this great love of the ocean.
This is without doubt the highest quality of photography and film editing that I have seen out of thousands of episodes of sailing. Please continue to make more, as these two videos have been for me absolutely the finest and most enjoyable to watch I have seen. Stunning documentary. Monumental adventure and achievement on many levels. Clear passion just for the love of it. Inspiration on every level and a joy to see what lies ahead for me. The North. Tusind Tak min ven. Det var det bedst.
A thousand thanks back, my friend. This is the most beautiful comment I've read. I never thought that these little videos, without voice-over, could really interest other people. It's a joy - and a real surprise - to discover that this is not the case. There are still a few of us who are longing for silence and salt... Good luck to you in all your future travels on the water!
Amazing! One of the best sailing videos I've ever seen!
@@Pandorak they should go together with @Erik Aanderaa to Iceland it would be and amazing experience
Agree.
Probably the most impressive video I've ever seen on RUclips. What an amazing experience just to watch it.
Beautifully, for me this are the two most inspiring sailing video’s on RUclips, Faroe Islands and Norway. I’m a Belgian skipper and sailed mainly from the Netherlands to the south, but my next adventure wil go definitely to the north , sailing Norway to the artic circle and back viaThe Faroe Islands, Shetland Islands , Scotland and back. Thank you for sharing, Koen Hontelé
That was one of the best films I have ever seen. Stunning cinematography, beautiful music. The ariel clifftop shots had us on the edge of our seats! Please, please, please make more. Although my wife has been to the isles before, she now wants to sail there, I'll need a bigger boat :)
Tons of thanks David ! If your wife want to sail there, you definitely found the good person ;-) . So count your blessings and go sailing, no matter the size of your boat (ok, I would say 24 foot is the minimum...) Fair winds and following seas to you two!
This is what it is all about
Thanks Evan!
I audibly gasped when I got hit with that image of the island at 8:06
You and me both.
A cinematographer as well as a good sailor. This film is just perfect.
Tons of thanks. Fair winds!
@@Pandorak Your cinema skills are phenomenal. The way you protray the movement of the boat, the passing of time and the coming and going of weather. The way you inconspicuously capture adjusting the sails, laying/pulling anchor, plotting coarse. The way you capture the sounds of the boat, the water, the wind, the birds etc. Even sharing the catching and preparing meals. It all miraculously joins in a brilliant symphony of creation, life and seamanship! Encore, encore All the best
wonderful views, excellent drone shots and overall photography, thank you
Thank you Vim, I really appreciate that!
I need to thank Patrick Laine for leading me to this video. Just added the Faroe Islands to my future plans.
Thanks to you...and to Patrick of course. A very nice guy. Fair winds!
I have done a few passages and sailed most of my life although not for some time now. You made me remember how wonderful it is. What a superb destination and you were lucky with the conditions. A great trip.
Thanks a lot Thomas
Wow, incredible video! You have inspired me to start saving money for a yacht.
I'm glad to read that. Good luck !
Just bought a Monsun - Hull #710, this is probably the best video on YT
Camera work is absolutely stunning.
A truly spiritual experience. The Creator must have enjoyed a moment of inspiration placing these jewels on the canvas of the open ocean.
Wow! Thank you for the sublime imagery. I look forward to your next adventure. Thanks to Patrick Laine for mentioning your video in his last post.
Thanks Magnus.... and Patrick too! Fair winds ;-)
Wowwwwuu!
So scaryyyy. What happens if you slip off and fall in the ocean when you are adjusting the sails in front of the boat :O ?
he should wear a safety belt but it didnt.
Very nice video, well done. We brought our Hans Christian 'Fair Isle' in Monnickendam and anchored off Hoorn on many occasions, lovely place. In fact all those towns on the Western side of the Markermeer and ijsselmeer are lovely.
Simply exceptional, what an inspiration! Have been getting frustrated with so many rich kid, bikini clad, faux sailing 'adventures' on here. You have a rare talent, beautifully filmed. You convey your journey in such a visceral way. Thank you, I now know what i've been searching for all this time!
Wow. Thanks a lot Ewan !
