    Thanks for the tour!
Why don't you just drill a hole in the drill press with the drill press instead of putting it in the lathe?

@mosfet500 Thanks for the comment. The reason I will eventually get the table into the lathe is quite simple... I would like the hole to be 30mm... somewhat beyond the capability of the drill itself.

G’day Andy I’m currently getting things together to build the rivet tool but I’m having trouble trying to find the top bolt, do you remember what and where you got it? It’s been good watching you building the Wombat it’s great to bounce of better ways of doing things. If I haven’t said it before have great Christmas and New Year thanks for your help regards John

      Hi John,
I had to go through Amazon to get mine... no-one has them in Aus! It's unbelievable but true. I bought several to help keep the postage down. Be prepared to buy an m20 tap as well, so you can re-cut the threads in the coupler nuts after welding. Mine distorted enough to make everything too tight to use. Make sure you use the m20 all thread to keep the alignment when welding, and be sure to remove the galv from the nuts as well. Search for the following... then follow the links to Amazon
Aexit M20x90mm Carbon Steel Square Head Dog Point Machine Screw Bolt Fastener Black
Hope this helps, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thank you for a very interesting workshop tour. Always nice to see how others deal with space, or lack off. 👏👏👍😀

I'm glad you liked it... it was a shame my microphone packed up halfway through... I don't script anything, and I think the first commentary was slightly better!

G’day Andy very good work shop and everything has a place not like mine which is always in a mess and not real clean. I didn’t realise you were in Adelaide it’s where I come from I was born and grew up in the northern suburbs in fact my family are still there. If you said where you worked I bet you I know it. Anyway thanks for the tour take care John

      Hi John,
Not in Adelaide... live to the east, but work in the city, so travel every day on the freeway. Not going to mention where I work but will give you a hint... Try looking out for the little notepads I use... they have the company name at the top! If you are ever back in town (to visit family?), it would be great to catch up with you in person. In fact, that goes for anyone building a Wombat. I know that there aren't many of us... I believe that there are about 25 in total.
      Take care,
      Andy (aka 'The Chef')

Nice little work shop Andy. Best thing about a small shop is its easy to cool or heat I'm in Victoria and one day the air-conditioning will be going the next day the heater will be cranked up. 👍

      Hi Adsa,
Here in SA, we have the same... sometimes it's brass monkeys, and other times, it's like being in the kitchen!
