The whole thing with Nick yelling at the fans after the Cleveland game goes back to the fact that they weren't using Barkley enough early in the game to wear down the opposing defense. They do it this week and they crush the Giants on the road. So now this is their identity, which is great to finally figure out. They needed to emulate the success of Baltimore and Detroit with this style of offense. Smash mouth football is back in 2024, it just is. The real tests for the Eagles will be this week against Cincinnati who are desperate to keep up with the Steelers and Ravens. Then later against Washington twice and Baltimore. The Eagles defense played incredible this week and looked like the defense in the first game against the Packers. Getting Mitchell and DeJean integrated into the starting lineups was huge for them.
The thing that no one is mentioning is that he had almost the entire 4th quarter to break his personal best rushing stat. But they put in Gainwell. With their upcoming schedule, he may have the best year he ever had for rushing. He was less then 20 yards away from setting a record.
It tells you everything about your team when 1 player on the opposing team has more yards of OFF than your whole actual OFF. New Jersey Giants didn't appreciate Saquon while he was with them by not giving him an OL so he can really show. Our OL isn't what it use to be, but it is still substantial better than any OL the New Jersey Giants has fielded in his career with them. Giants tossed a treasure because they forgot what they had, and we are thankful to have this treasure in Philly. I never realized how much Jones looks like a high Jim Carrey, in my opinion.
