Both asus and Sony need more people to buy their phones, and both are doing unique phones with features that all phones used to have and now are impossible to find.
Thank you Sony and ASUS for keeping making jack 3.5mm ! I tried few bluetooth headphones, earbuds but always for 3x less price i had same or better audio quality on wired equipments, it's like bluetooth headphones are just tech equipments instead of being focused on audio... Anyway, thank you for this review ! You're doing a really good job and it's fantastic that channels like you provide exclusive contents like this one; i found no other channel that did this comparison !! +1 SUB
You're not wrong Tws only get good at high price But for less you can get an iem and even a bluetooth adpter like the Fiio UTWS5 and flex on the tws users
To me the difference were so small I wish next time you do a comparison like that you could switch directly between different devices. So switch directly between different sources to similar song fragment, with no gap. And the device tested could only be written on screen Then we could detect differences more easily. Otherwise awesome comparison between interesting devices, that noone else does!
Had 3 LG phones the last years, mainly for the audio. They are also very reliable but phone itself gets kinda sluggish. Unfortunately just cracked the screen on my LG V60 yesterday 😬 I think I'll go with Xperia 5 ii
you need to use a third-party player like USB audio player pro (uapp). uapp (not advertising) can use quad DAC directly ( maybe other dacs too). the rest of the applications work through the android mixer and the quality may be worse due to resampling. if the quad DAC is not used directly, then you can also get artifacts in the sound. it would also be nice to take measurements through software like Right mark audio analyzer . and lg with quad DAC can increase the output power based on the resistance of the connected device (impedance). I think sound better when the output power is increased by dac , rather than just a software. you can check it if you insert a cable without headphones and then connect headphones to it or use any 3.5 extension cord, just insert it first (the phone will think that the headphones have a high impedance and increase the output power ) and then into this extension cord insert headphones . there is also software to check the gain (I can send additional information by E-mail or in the comments below). it would also be interesting to check how the uapp behaves with these devices , since lg is already outdated and would like to know which phone would like to buy in the future to use the DAC directly with uapp
Thanks for the comparison. It confirms that LG's quad DAC is still a force to be reckoned with with it's superiority being more evident with the highest quality headphones. I still have my LG V50, and G8X phones.

I have not heard about any good bleutooth earbuds for riding on a motorbike with helmet on. This was the reason i bought sony xperia 5ii cause i always use the cheap sony wired earbuds that do noise isolation instead of noise cancelation cause for what i read noise cancelation is not really working when riding a motorbike on the highway for example. I personaly think the power of the sony xperia 5ii with wired earbuds is enough, i usually have it at around 75% and that is fine. What i also do like though with the sony xperia is its low sound when using speakers. its lowest sound is just very low and this is just very nice when you are in bed and maybe have someone laying next to you that you do not want to disturb so the lower that sound the nicer.
