I grew up spending a lot of my childhood on this estate (wasn't supposed to) it was fantastic incredible woodland, huge expanses of green fields, fishing in the river but this failed development has ruined it all. All it's done is attract thieves to the area to plunder what's left. It's a crying shame that greed has scared this beautiful area so badly. Great video brought back a lot of memories :-).
Why have builders not taken away their spoils with them? they should be forced to restore the property to what it was before they savaged it. That is appallingly sad, The idiots who gave the go ahead for that development, should not be sitting in any position to wreck the same havoc on another unsuspecting site, ever. That was NOT planned development, that was greed gone mad.
man, thats sickening. with some luck the house can be saved, but the grounds are ruined. how were they ever going to sell those ugly houses and apartments? they must have been hoping the dublin commuters would move to longford. sad video but thanks for capturing it.
