- The first ever LEEP Summit, held on July 12, 2022, showcased the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP).
The summit featured LEEP nodes from Chain Reaction Innovations at Argonne National Laboratory; Innovation Crossroads at Oak Ridge National Laboratory; Cyclotron Road at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; and announced the newest node - West Gate at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
The event also highlighted the regional ecosystems these programs leverage to move clean energy technologies from the lab to market.
Lady Idos talks about systemic inequities hinder clean energy innovation during the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP) Summit.
Global solutions require input from impacted communities to be successful. As a result, equitable access is key to solving clean energy and climate challenges. Barriers must be eliminated to create innovation and provide insight into a better future for all.
LEEP supports innovation through two-year fellowship programs at Argonne National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
LEEP incubates talented entrepreneurs who develop their technologies with the support of DOE and the national laboratory complex to ‘innovate the way to solutions.
