And, sadly, a lot of general technical support websites are just copying and pasting text from ChatGPT into their articles and the information is more often then not massively wrong. Some of them even have ChatGPT text apps at the top of the page displaying wrong answers. General consumers of information are much worse off because of it.
I can't understand why this video has no comments (although there was some odd problem when I started to type a comment and the text generated some weird entries I had not written). This video very clearly and efficiently explains what is a hugely significant issue with using generative AI for technical research - currently the systems are simply not capable of providing robust, authentic, accurate and wholly reliable technical answers to even very straightforward questions, and yet their answers are deceptive and confident even to the extent of providing false (entirely made up) sources and secondary statements that provides an air of authenticity that makes them difficult to distrust. This video should have millions of views, not 4k (as of December 2023).
As someone who automatically distrusts confidence, nothing's more suspicious than these algorithms. They learned to sound right instead of to be right.
I always double check any information or sources it gives me. Also, it's funny, because ChatGPT will sometimes make a statement that seems incorrect or contradictory, so I will copy and paste it, asking it to identify any misinformation or inconsistencies, and it will point out issues in the statement that it just made to me haha.
I can't even get ChatGPT to perform data calculations correctly. I provide ChatGPT with a mathematical grading system, and then supply it with data from a Yahoo stock chart. EVERY FREAKIN' TIME, ChatGPT spits out wildly fluctuating point scores. It can't even calculate really simple math.

Chatgpt did NOT know which date was today. I was speechless

If it could just ask "but am I wrong?" to itself internally, maybe it'd be able to get anything right. Self-doubt, in small doses, is important
omg i asked it to solve a triangle and it was insisting that the answer was correct. it is getting very concerning.
chatgpt is wrong
it is very concerning-
@@Pairs468 yep

5:30 the rabbit with a telescope face ugh, and also it’s disturbing that this A-I can lie so easily
bruh
i literally wrote my entire assignment from it just to find out 100s of errors in the assignment during a lil recheck
have to redo it again😢😢
You have become the autocorrect
Chatgpt is terrible at math, almost always wrong.
Wow
