I am grateful for having had access to this video. I followed it and replaced the brushes on the motor of my Bosch maxx 900 and it worked like a charm. I had no idea how to get to the motor until I saw this video. A repairman had told me that many people use google to fix their washing machine and then they call him to fix it but he won't touch it. I was tempted to listen to him but I didn't. Your video saved me about $150, and gave me the satisfaction of fixing it myself. Thank you; keep up the good work.

I would like to thank you on behalf of my friend & myself for your excellent video which was so well explained .
It enabled us to successfully repair my friend’s Bosch Washing Machine which without the support of your video would not have been
    possible .
It is now up & running thanks to you ... & saved on an expensive repair bill .
    With thanks . 👍

Thanks very much, I just received my brushes today and now my washing machine is back up and running, the video was very easy to follow and your website is fantastic for ordering the parts I needed, The washing machine was nearly going up to the tip all for the sake of carbon brushes, I wonder how many perfectly good washing machines have been thrown away without even checking this. again thanks you saved me a lot of money.

Spot on video - Thank you Lee! Thanks to your explanations, I could remove the worn out brushes and replace them with brand new ones. I then cancelled the error code F21 and reset the control panel back to normal function. Great job, top man! Damien

Many thanks for this - an excellent "how-to". With this I was easily able to replace the brushes on my 10 year old Bosch Maxx washing machine (first time it's needed anything doing).
One tip - I found that putting a wooden kebab stick down through the spring stopped it spilling out.
I got genuine Bosch brushes, which are angled - a friend commented that he'd had a repairman fix his machine, but he had used generic brushes (half the price) with a straight edge - had commented that they'd be good for 5 years. On that basis I'd cheerfully continue to stick to using genuine replacement parts to get the full lifetime.

Should have just put the machine, on its back, so much simpler.

Great video! Just got my Bosch classixx 5.5 up and running again. The brushes I received (official ones from Bosch for this serial number, from Bosch's own website) did not fit: that makes no sense from Bosch. I had to sand of the side. It took a bit longer, but it fixed the machine. Many thanks for this great video!

Excellent video. What screwdriver do I need to remove the motor? Are those torx screws as well?
Is it possible to change brushes without moving the motor on Bosch Exxcel 1200 WF02464GB?
    Thank you.

Hello, i have a Normende washing machine and it has two brushes? do you think id have to hire someone or is it a fairly manageable job? also the screws are soldered into the back of the washing machine, so if the bearings or drum go i couldnt get to it.

It's always much easier to change the Carbon brushes removed it would be impossible to do it with the Motor in the Machine

Hi, great videos!! I've taken the back off & the belt seems fine. I've not taken the motor off yet. I just want to ask: I put the machine on just a 'spin cycle' to test it, there's 'working noise' coming from the motor but no spin occurs. Could this be the brushes? Thanks

Why does the bottom side carbon always wears out in my ifb 7kg front loading washing machine and the top side carbon over the motor stays intact! I have replaced twice in two years?

Hi. I changed the bushes about a year ago,, can they wear out that quickly, thank you

    • @harrisnaran8207
      @harrisnaran8207 Год назад

@TAHIR MAHMOOD: IT DEPENDS ON WHAT QUALITY OF MATERIAL HAS BEEN USED IN MANUFACTURING THE PRODUCT ---- (HERE, THE CARBON BRUSHES). IF THE MATERIAL IS USED OF A HIGHER GRADE, THE CARBON BRUSHES WILL NOT WEAR OUT QUICKLY. THEREFORE, ALWAYS BUY AN ORIGINAL PART, OR IF YOU WANT TO USE A GENERIC PRODUCT, BUY A PART OF A BETTER QUALITY, TO LAST LONGER.

If the symptoms began after an excessively heavy load of towels, it it worth trying to replace the brushes or is it more likely that the motor has burned out?

i have a bosch wae28468/14 with error F21(brushes,motor or main control brd)Brushes are fine. commutator sooted slightly but now clean, not much wear.my motor has 7 connectors which i think are 1-2 sensor3-4 brushes, 5,6,7 windings.across 1-2 i get 7 ohms, on 3-4 i get 23ohms static or 0-23ohms when turning spindle and approx 2-3 ohms across 5-6,5-7,6-7.
I tried several times to reset the error but was unable, so took the front cover off and tried the reset procedure pressing directly on the spring/switch which worked first time. i put back together and put a wash on which worked fine for 30 mins into the program then the machine stopped again on error F21, do you think this could be the main control board or motor problem.
    do you have a main control brd - BSH 5560 009 098

F21” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. ... First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit.

Why do you all insist on having to remove everything??
Just put the machine on its back, as the machines have no floor!!
Hey presto! It's now a 5 min job, including fitting, instead of all the time wasting, oh, I mean, time paid!!
I'm female, and get fed up of being shown, the long winded way of fixing things.
Hope this saves people time money stress, and needless stuff. 😁
