Caladesi one of my favorite Florida places! When you look at this barrier island it did what it is supposed to do- bear the brunt of wind and waves but protect Clearwater and Dunedin. Too bad Florida,Texas and the whole East coast stupidly built on barrier islands.
I usually (of course not this year, went to Anastasia Island) go to Caladesi every October after HHN and that is virtually unrecognizable. Glad to see everybody has electricity back finally.
The beach itself is not bad after both hurricanes. But the island is still closed even right now as probably there is some infrastructure damage. Not bad for the boaters though

Really can't tell what looks so bad. Kinda looks normal in this video
