Morning wildlife observation 10-mile hike at Lower Green Swamp Nature Preserve near Lakeland FL. This nature preserve has great hiking and wildlife watching opportunities. Met with the deer twice during this hike. No deer or other wildlife were harmed.

The beach itself is not bad after both hurricanes. But the island is still closed even right now as probably there is some infrastructure damage. Not bad for the boaters though

Omg that's awful. I keep checking everyday if they are open. I'm a local and honeymoon and caladesi is some of my favorite places.
I usually (of course not this year, went to Anastasia Island) go to Caladesi every October after HHN and that is virtually unrecognizable. Glad to see everybody has electricity back finally.
Honeymoon Island is even less recognizable now. Working on new videos. Stay tuned!
Caladesi one of my favorite Florida places! When you look at this barrier island it did what it is supposed to do- bear the brunt of wind and waves but protect Clearwater and Dunedin. Too bad Florida,Texas and the whole East coast stupidly built on barrier islands.
