Yep. King Kamahameha I, rightful ruler of Hawaii, was the first foreign authority to recognize and sign a treaty of peace and commerce with Argentina in 1818. In the meantime Captain Bouchard conquered southern California for Argentina, raised the colors and then left pursuing more adventures. In fact the Argentine flag still waves in Santa Bárbara along with the flags of 11 other nations who once occupied that land. Hope you had a good time in Argentina, my friend. @@RetireandGo
We have been in Argentina for five months of the last 12. We love so many aspects of the life, which you have touched on. We are in an expat early retirement, living frugally until Social Security kicks in. The US isn't conducive to the life that we desire. I enjoyed your video. Having first visited BA in 1992, I love seeing videos of the city. However let me point out a few things: 1) Argentina has one of the worse inflation rates in the world. That is why everything seems is so cheap for someone with dollars. You cannot state that everything is so cheap, without considering this. The population who is not well off is suffering tremendously. The average wage is $100 a month! This is due to more than 20 years of terrible socialist governments which have destroyed the economy. Add to this that Argentina is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. They have now elected a totally different government and that will eventually change things 2) Things may look nice in the city of Buenos Aires (CABA) the autonomous city of BA, but go out to the province of BA (PABA), which is separate from the city and you will find insecurity, poverty and all of the worse conditions anywhere. Don’t be fooled by what you see in the city. 3) You mentioned that everyone is fit. Yes that is what happens if you can eat the best beef in the world. Just leave out the fries and the bread. However you will find many overweight people in the poor neighborhoods, because all they can eat is polenta and cheap pasta. 4) Definitely, BA is one of those cities where you can just enjoy looking at the architecture. The culture, food and wine is to be cherished. Just be aware that things are not as they seem in the nice areas. The problems of Argentina are deep and will take a long time to recover, but it seems like they will. Right now things are worse, because the change to get better will take some time. I do hope they do because for a long time, my favorite retirement location has been BA and Argentina. Do not limit yourself to the city. This is an incredible large country, the eighth largest in the world in land mass.

We can only do our part
Support them with tourism and smiles
It’s the right year to go to Argentina
Tendría que visitar los suburbios de nueva York 😮😅😅😅😅... very very poor people in USA .. ON NO ??...wolfgangkruger ?.😮.. greetings from mar del plata argentina

Hello, if I may ask, where did you stay in Buenos Aires?
Check out the Argentina videos I did a review with prices in I think the first one

Thank you!
Very kind ! Have a good day
be careful with the latino woman ,they get jealous real fast .how come your on your own again
They are hot blooded :-)
I hope more people travel to Argentina to support the economy
