- Rant is ON about being called an influencer it’s so bloody cringe isn’t it!!! Anyhow some fella tried to call me out on Facebook so I tore him a new one on the subject!!!!! How is the solis coming on?? Shedding gates are in tanks to mark and his team absolutely brilliant they have been amazing can’t thank them enough!!! Roy is on the muck job to get it all onto the re seeding fields before they need to come and do it! Rain arrives and the car journey back with Ol x
Hi Charlotte, I've never thought of you or Olly, Tom and Joe as Influencers. I think you are all Educators! Teaching people about the importance of farming by showing daily farming life warts and all. .

Far from being influenced, I find Olly, Tom, Evie, Joe, Jemma and yourself to be honest, good or bad you show the realities of farming (agricultural lorry driver for Jemma) the impact of weather and costs, in providing the nation with food
Keep it up, you certainly brighten up my days with all your videos
Keep doing what you do your video's are entertaining and informative and personally speaking i don't feel influenced to rush out and buy a herd of Jersey cows and a robot milking system.

I see you as people who inspire me, I don't like the word influencers either, but I get ideas and inspiration from you. If I hadn't found you, I wouldn't have learned a lot and found ways to make the work with the sheep easier. You share your everyday life with us in your hard work, I share my everyday life on social media and RUclips because it gets lonely where I walk with my sheep. My followers become my company, you are my company. It helps me continue towards my goal and gives me a purpose to keep going. I will never become an influencer and I don't want to either, but instead an inspiration to others and if I can earn a little from it, I will not say no as it would help me in my pursuit of my goals.

I would say you're a documenter, it's a view of your day to day life which is what I enjoy about it so much.
I see you have the fold down camera mount on the Solis in the down position. ( the Roll Bar).
Us Dyslexics find our videos much better than pages of catalogues or peer reviewed research papers.

If anyone’s an ‘influencer’ on your farm then it’s the Jersey cows themselves for influencing you (and Roy) to get into milking Jersey cows and progressing your farm in the way you both have. I dont see everyone that does videos showcasing products and companies as influencers. To me the 'influencers' are the ones who sell themselves out to anyone willing to pay them no matter what or who its for and everyone else id class as marketers because theyre endorsing products or companies they believe in and think that someone else out there could benefit from it.
Keep being you, we watch your videos because we wouldnt have you any other way!
Sometimes people can be influenced in a good way. I am not a farmer and didn't like what I had mistakenly perceived as robot milking being no different to battery farming but you mentioned in a previous video a part of your setup includes letting the cows graze on pasture not just in the shed. I am glad I was wrong and look forward to seeing this in practice in your future videos.

But they just don't understand you are just someone trying to get on, and being a good farmer, and making videos along the way in a real world, and not a load of staff doing the work for you.😊😮

I'm a great believer in farm workers. They need to keep their jobs in the interest of the farming future. We need farmers in our country. What would we do with out farming. They feed us and garden the green and plesent land.
Hey kid, so you are an influencer too , just curious what demographic do lely think you influence? Me ? 60 odd year old dairy farmer who has a few woolly backs and more beef stock than I need or want ( locked up) I have never owned a jersey cow and I have owned thousands of cows over the years ( have no intention of owning any either) , honestly I think of you as an entertainer , a bit of comic relief, from someone who knows and understands what pressure farmers are under and how hard we work, to hell with the begrudgers you just keep doing what you are doing and have a laugh while doing it and if lely give you a few freebie’s because they think they might sell a few more slurry hovers , jump at it ( quite frankly they would want to rethink their pricing point before anyone influences me to buy a couple apparently I need 3 at least) anyhow I and the extended tribe love to see your videos. Regards from Ireland oh quick question why don’t you just hang a few gates and move the cows out of the way when you are scraping and bedding? Isn't it crap that you have to justify a name or term that someone else has given to you. You're not an influencers, you're a blogger who gives us an insight to your farm. Its good that you do the videos as a release,as i would imagine its such a lonely job at times. Gotta tell Olly that the red is quite a common colour i've seen a few since he got his😂😂😂.
I wouldn't be without my battery leaf blower especially at haylage time blowing down the baler to reduce fire risk ,wether you like the term influencer or not there are things on your and other's videos that can influence purchase decisions of the viewers or at least put ideas in peoples heads. I like you and Roy have no staff and wish I could afford staff especially now I live and work with Parkinson's disease but there isn't the money in 60acres of hay making pastures to have full time staff and that I think is true of a lot of farming business's and maybe it doesn't always come across that family are the only help a lot of farmers have and even large farms can often only justify casual harvest labour, my only help outside of contractors is my wife Helen.

no not influencer more an optioner ? you offer options you look at others options and you work them into your plans, by your own admissions the new cow shed as been developed from others workings/videos. i am trying to get into creating things from wood , old man heading to retirement want an hobby at home to go with my wildlife photography on facebook, all just for me. so i watch videos of woodworkers and choose options of what i want to do. would you have a little blue tractor on the yard if not seeing it on others videos ?? keep going and dont give a sh1t enjoy work cos an happy wife leads to a happy life

And on a farm…most of those rodents you allude to are vectors for disease that could negatively impact the livestock, making them dead stock…
