Just a question. It says Std 4 8 gauge Wagons. Would they have run between Kal and Perth on Passenger Services after the STD Gauge conversion in 1969. I was on the Trans Train ex Port Pirie in Dec 1969 when it arrived in Kalgoorlie and we were told to stay on the train because it was going straight through to Perth.

So sad to see AF 26 and AVEP in a bad state, good to see that RHWA has them both in the Bassendean site where they will get some much needed TLC and hopefully the rest of the Heritage Train will be at the Bassendean site

The rest of the consist should be going to RHWA soon-ish. But the AVEP is actually in good condition just the graffiti makes it seem bad. The AF is another story tho.

Haha, but yeah you maybe in the future be able to have a meal on one of these coaches on an actual rail line. But sadly not for a while.
