ASF usually has good takes but the complaint about Turnbull not pitching in 9 days makes no sense ( the 9 days includes 3 off days). He pitched 3 innings Friday night in emergency relief of Ranger against St. Louis. They wanted to give him some time to rest after about 50 pitches. So let’s say. two days was sufficient rest. After that, I don’t know when there was a spot for him in the Milwaukee series where all the games were tight low scoring affairs and Wheeler Sanchez and Nola went deep bridging to the late inning guys. Same for Ranger on Saturday in London and Walker on Sunday. Just seems. like Ant was fishing for something to complain about. Turnbull’s role for the time being is 1) insurance in. case of injury and 2) long guy in the bullpen. With these starters he won’t get too many opportunities as a long man/piggyback guy the way things are going which should be viewed as a positive. I also like the way Ruiz is throwing the ball so if you need one inning when some of the other bullpen guys need an off day he’s the go to man for that role.

Great Podcast as usual. One thing that I'm glad about is neither of you ever do is when you are talking about The Phillies, you refer to the team as "we". When I hear someone in the media do this, it really annoys the hell out of me. I often hear Mike Schmidt do this during The Phillies TV broadcast on Sundays and annoyed every time, I know he's paid by The Phillies for the broadcast but he is no longer on the team. My only complaint for you both is I wish this podcast was everyday!

Why would Braves punt? Makes no sense. 2 6th seeds made WS last 2 years. They won a WS without Acuna. Texas won WS last year with what 90 wins
