That’s a silly question my friend because this scene has good writing and characters.
In all seriousness, sort of. They brought back a lot of the original writing team and Dave Filoni who’s directed most of the show. Some of the episodes were already mostly finished or planned out just before the cancellation. Disney just went back and finished it (while adding stupid unnecessary censorship along the way) and I believe the Siege of Mandalore arc was new and entirely done by the OG team.

Honestly their reunion in rebels was executed so well....made me wish it was really done in high quality the way clone wars season 7 was!

@@oitaga6703 rebels in general was well executed. The animation style could have been better but I liked it particularly for space battles and I like the thin lightsabers too.
This scene stepped all over my feelings. Anakin's changing facial expressions when he recognises Ahsoka? the voice acting?? Anakin trying to make sure she's safe instead of focusing on the mission?!?!? Ahsoka trying to keep her distance and be professional??? watch me go FERAL
When you're talking about war in a meeting about war, you can't put personal stuff first. Anakin doesn't get that because he's the chosen one, empathy from both sides of the force come to him regardless of politics. Ahsoka wants to reconnect with him no question but the mission comes first.

@@englishlady9797 My primary point is sometimes you need to put your emotions to the side because getting the job at hand done takes a mature attitude. Ahsoka grew up, she's acting like people should in war meetings. It's not hangout hour.
Anakin just wants five minutes to say hi and be excited about seeing someone who's like a little sister to him. He's a very emotional person and yeah being the chosen one has to do with it because The Father established his personality being a healthy balance of darkness and light (in this case darkness being selfishness and light compassion). All the same I do understand this situation makes Anakin relatable because anybody would be excited to see an old friend, regardless of the situation or the chosen one established crap back in TPM.

However cold Ahsoka seemed to be in this scene, she showed her true feeling just moments before facing Maul. She is fiercely loyal to her Master, refusing to believe he will turn.
Too bad he didn't see that. That might have made a difference.
Ahsoka was too blind to see that Anakin could turn, when she has indeed seen her master show dark side symptoms and she even had a vision on Mortis that warned her

They didn't end on bad terms, she only pushed him away for like 2 scenes, I said this in another comment but I feel like people take this scene a little too seriously, we can see that ahsoka is thankful and appreciates anakin company we can see later after they meet the 501,
And also she was "cold" because
1 Bo katan and her desperate angry mandos probably put alot of pressure on her,
2 her setting, she is surrounded by not only jedi but clones Republic ships and all.
The only person she was acting cold too was obi wan like cmon she legit argues with him and thats their first interaction they have in months too.
And apart of her did want to move on but that's her jedi life maybe not from anakin completely, since we see that plenty of times through her face and how she acts. But they both didn't have time and both had very important jobs, and we see ahsoka wanting to be with anakin throughout the seidge of mandalor hell she sort of considered rejoin the jedi there is a video saying that she felt that way when she spoke through that Skype call.
Anyway this is what I took away from these scenes.
Anakin went full Brother Mode

Look at anakin. He doesn't want important information. He just wants his padawan to come home.
I like how Anakin’s expression seeing Ahsoka again mirrors how Anakin is when he sees Padmé again in Revenge of the Sith.
After overcoming being in shock at seeing her, one of the first things he asks his former padawan is if she's ok. And when they meet in person you know he just wants to hug and catch up....the amount of facial expressions between them I'm this episode was truly something else and I really liked it. Sometimes you just don't need words.
Sometimes all you need are facial expressions. And you k is one of Anakins thoughts were “I am going to give Ashoka the biggest hug ever.”

I agree but I feel both wanted to hug and catch up. We can see how they act when they are alone together. And when maul breaks the news that if ahsoka joins him they will have to kill anakin and she refused, it shows that both still care deeply about each other.

I love how Anakin trails off at the start and then everyone keeps looking at Anakin 😂 and he’s just speechless. It’s such a well done scene. They played it perfectly on how Anakin would truly react to seeing Ashoka and how much he cares about her and missed her
How be brightened up when he saw her, his lil’ sis. “Where are you!?” he says, as if he wants to go there now. My heart.
This scene!! Oml my heart. The way he just stops dead when he sees Ahsoka... And the first thing he asks is “are you okay.”
And Ahsoka trying to play it cool and be professional while Anakin is like, a dog seeing their human friend after a weekend away.
Obi-Wan in the background keeps looking between them like “oh damn” which was really funny to me I don’t know why
Anakin's reaction is heartbreaking.
It' amazing how Anakin mood passes from shock to excitement and then to being really worry when he realizes that she wasn't calling just to say Hi, so he ask her if she's okay... I'm sure that if she would have answered "No" he would have taken a ship right away and go with her without a second thought
When you realize Bo Katan, a Mandalorian Clone Wars Veteran, had met BOTH ANAKIN AND LUKE SKYWALKER
Really wish Ahsoka stops pushing Anakin away. That is my tiny nitpick with this episode. He did save her life after all. She should be happy to see him. Not like they ended on bad terms.
She acted distant because she didn’t want to get attached again. Didn’t wanted to return there only because of Anakin. She‘s scared to get hurt by the order, she wasn’t there permanently and Anakin’s excitement makes things worse for her feelings I bet. It’s not easy to hide emotions when it comes to someone you really care about, but she did. Even though he was like a brother/father to her 😞
It's why she has so much regret all those years later
Brandon Harden both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan had regrets in how things turned out with Anakin. He was fiercely loyal and honest to himself his comrades and loved ones. Of course he’d want it reciprocated, because Anakin would do his DAMNDEST for their sake
It’s still sad though I was hoping for at least a hug between the two. they got really close in the clone wars it’s a shame ahsoka kept on pushing anikan away
They didn't really end on bad terms tho. They were just in a hurry and it probably makes ahsoka uncomfortable seeing the Jedi again.

It's exactly like the scene from the San Diego 2018 Comic-Con trailer only with Yularen taking Rex's place and notifying Anakin and Obi-Wan.
@@cybronikai1957 the reason is because they wanted Rex and Ahsoka to see each other for the first time after they paint the helmets.
My heart hurts every time they talk, you can see Anakin cares so much and so does Ahsoka but she's pushing him away and it makes me want to cry!
I love how they really captured Anakin’s hair here, I know it’s weird but still. I haven’t had a hair cut in 5 months because of quarantine so I have anakin hair now and I love how they added the detail of it curling around his neck. Because anyone who has had that length of hair knows it does that and it’s super annoying!
Anakin is the former master who saw her like family, asking her if she's ok and wanting to reconnect after so long. Ahsoka on the hand grew up, she really wants to talk to him as he's always supported her through thick and thin but the mission comes first. The scene is so compelling and well-written, and really hits home for long-time fans.
By her giving Anakin the cold shoulder, it only made it seem like the relationship they built over the last years is gone, which she regrets now, but it's to late

But before he snapped, he was the quiet kid being bullied and manipulated by palpatine, and the jedi council would represent his flawed councelling system. But In the end, he did kill palpatine to save his son from being electrocuted which restored the balance, hence "Return of the Jedi". So, he did have a small grain of humanity in him left.

Ir's funny you said that because this scene had me thinking of that moment after Ahsoka told Anakin/Vader she wouldn't leave him and he just stood there silent for a minute sort of in shock. I think this scene was a mirror of that and in a way they both end with heartbreak.
Ahsoka was still distant because she knew Anakin would be the one reason that could convince her to return to the jedi, and she still didn't feel ready.
And they say, Star Wars didn't have strong female Charakter.

For those that dont know Maul allowed himself to be located so he could lure Anakin there because Maul knew he would become Darth Vader
I actually thought that also. It could be a chance for him to prove why Anakin would fall to the darkside.
Part of me actually thinks Maul wanted Anakin on Mandalore to turn him to his side. Anakin has extreme power. He is literally more powerful than most on the Jedi Order and most on the Council. If Maul convinces him to join him, Palpatine would be screwed.

Anakin loves Ahsoka so much and he’s not afraid to show it. In the French version is so much more powerful as the dub is soft. Ahsoka, in a contrary, is cold with Anakin. It always made me sad. I truly believe she has feeling for him she does not want to express
but more family love feelings. Not romance love. She sees him as older brother and this bond is even stronger

They were looking for a spy in their ranks called fulcrum. They knew it wasn't Ahsoka but the probably figured out she was part of the rebellion because of the name.

The brilliance comes in the understatement. It would have been so easily to phone in a hammy reunion, but the dire reality of the situation is never forgotten. We all knew the scene was coming but no one was ready for it when it came.

It could've been that she wanted him to know in case he was alive. She didn't know he actually did turn into Vader. All she knew was that the Jedi were gone but he could've been out there looking for her.

She was so rude to Anakin. She left herself Jedi order, he didn't push her to leave. I expected something good here between them as to me Ahsoka and Anakin relationship was great along with clones.

I just realised the Venators no longer have their signature red stripes indicating they were "Jedi" Cruisers. Instead they were greyed out like those seen at the end of ROTS.
Who knew that two days later Anakin would be chopping off Padawan heads.
I don't think it's just two days later. When we see Anakin holo contact Padme, we see a slight pregnancy bump indicating she's very early in the pregnancy. And this is before the Battle of Coroscant when she tells him she's pregnant. Given that, between this and Order 66 when Padme is about due to deliver the twins, that means at least 5 months will pass between then and now.
