I’ve watched so many hacking, horse riding fails and all that. I’ve never found someone who I can actually watch without getting bored, I joined the riding community 1 year ago now, because of you, I saw the fails and it made me want to ride more. I’ve gained load of confidence and that’s all because of you, I started watching you years ago when you had Dee on my mums phone. I just want to say thank you ❤
I rode for the first time almost 7 years ago and wanted to keep riding but my parents can't afford it and my dream is still to be a better rider but I can never learn anything because I can only ride sometimes☹Im so jealous to other people who can ride but me not😣
Don't worry, you're not alone. I can only afford to ride every so often but it's not consistent enough to really grow in confidence and improve. Also tried sharing a horse and ended up in hospital 😣 it's not always a smooth journey but helps a lot when you are good friends with someone who has horses. I feel very alone in my horse journey, hopefully can make some horsey friends in the future 🤞
@@ljo0605 I don't have any friends irl and I probably never have and the only thing I always wait is riding lessons, otherwise I'm so bored. And winter is almost here and snow is coming and I want to learn to canter before need to take 6 months break because of snow. It's hard to bike 5 km in snow and ice and the stable does not have an indoor arena so then I can't learn anything just walk lessons😶
I swear it’s going to get better, I was in the same exact situation until I got 17 and started working part time. I could never ride before unless occasionally, maybe once every three months. At 18 I could finally afford do ride 3 times a week and it was a dream come true. Now I’m loaning a horse, will try to go on my first competitions this year. Just remember that situations change and that you’ll be able to do ride in the future! x
@@heyaitskiar I'm turning 17 in 14 days, I was working this summer and got money and used it for riding, but unfortunately I've spent almost everything. It's annoying that I've been doing the same things in lessons for 7 years because I can't learn anything. My dream is learn to canter and jump. I feel like I'll never have the money to ride once a week or loan a horse. Going to the stable and riding is difficult in winter
@@Jinskuw sometimes the opportunity also depends by the yard that you’re going to. Every yard should give you the opportunity to learn to canter and jump small jumps right from the start! I really suggest you find somewhere else if you feel you’re not improving! I learned the hard way. I also used to earn so little, but the more experience you have the more job opportunity you get, it gets better when you get older. Tutoring has worked wonders for me and dogsitting as well. But I know it can be so frustrating when everything in the equestrian world is so expensive.
I was riding with my riding school on an own a pony day and as it was a hack we only trotted but the pony infront was really slow and far back and my pony was getting annoyed and tried going round so i ask they said yes but then my pony full on bolted with me even though i was trying to pull back so after that i took a break as i didnt want to get back on but then i found your account as well as others and it gave me confidence. Thank you xx
Glad you decided to ride again after quitting and I'm glad I found you on here because I've learned so much by just watching you, hope you and Rosie are well :D
Nice to hear your story, I'm always interested in the different paths people take into the world of horses! It's not always easy to get into and certainly requires finances and knowing the right people who can help you when you start out. It's lovely seeing you progress with Rosie and forming a real bond with her ❤
Rosie has had a huge glowup since she’s been with you! Keep up the good work your an amazing rider! ❤ I started riding around 8 or 9 we started doing lessons on one of my older sisters friends and we rode a miniature pony named Cocoa for a while, then he got injured so we rode a larger horse named Sugar, she was a beautiful paint horse with blue eyes. It was my first time riding her and we had an incident, my trainer told me to go around a circle pen where another horse was being trained their name was Pickle, and Sugar took off in a gallop. I was screaming and pulling on the reins and I was saying Woah. It didn’t work so my older sister had to jump out infront of sugar to get her to stop since she was inning towards a fence, it could’ve gone terribly wrong and could’ve resulted in me falling of her my sister being trampled. After that we stopped riding and I’ve wanted to continue riding since and I’m now 11, and my mother got a bf since her and dad are divorced and he had a horse named Lucky who was skittish and I’ve helped lucky overcome his fear of people and he’s a great horse now. My moms bf got us a horse named Romeo he’s also a mini horse and he’s got two different colored eyes and he has a bit of an attitude so moms bf has a saddle coming in so I can continue riding.
I've started again at 26 after riding 8-17 and I'm so annoyed by how bad I am all the time, because I knew I used to be so much better lol. Hope to one day be good enough for a share
