We come here often. We have another home here in Hollister. J’Dawns is awesome. Friendly owner and a great selection. We go to all the quilt shops including the ones in Springfield.
We love to go to Branson for vacation in our camper. I've been to both of the larger quilt shops you mentioned. I take my small machine and do a little piecing in our downtimes when we aren't doing activities.Lots of neat things to do. Our fave is the Sight and Sound Theater productions.
Wow! You live in such a beautiful area with so much to do!!! Table Rock lake is a great lake for camping and fishing too!!! Plus the great quilt shops!!!
Love Quilts & Quilts shop! They also have a nice selection of Christian-themed quilt patterns & kits. We enjoy seeing Sight & Sound Theater shows and dining at Landry's Fish House in Branson. Glad your family enjoyed your vacation!
The neat thing about the College of the Ozarks is that the students do work. No student loans or tuition. The student body works and their education is their reward.
2 or 3 years ago, my friend and I went to AQS in Branson. We didn’t have much free time but we did go to Quilts & Quilts. Loved that store. Maybe one day soon, I can go back and see the others. Oh, the Quilted Cow is opening a store close to my house on 9/9. I can’t wait!
Thank you for sharing the great quilt shops and other Branson area attractions! Visiting Branson has been on my bucket list for quite a while, especially to visit Sight and Sound Theater there. So glad you had a great time away and got some super cute t-shirts!!! 🥰
I’ve been to Branson several times over the course of my life. I love the quilt shop, Quilts, Quilts! The other must do is to go to the College of the Ozark’s. If you know that you are going to Branson ahead of time and that you will be there on a Sunday, make reservations for brunch at the college! It is amazing!!! The students make and serve the meals. They even have a person playing a piano while you dine.
@@thesimplequilter7499 you have to experience the Sunday brunch. Everything you could ever imagine is right in front of your eyes to try! I had things that I wouldn’t have tried, but when you can try a spoonful, that’s a different story! lol
My favorite place is Branson. Besides the quilt shops Cecilia’s is a great cross stitch shop with punchneedle and lots of yarn. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Thank you for such a thorough review of your visit to our area and I'm so happy that it was positive. I've lived here for 28 years and you have told me about some places that I didn't know about! Thank you!
We live close to Branson and love to shop at Quilts & Quilts! There are several quilt shops in Springfield too (The Quilted Cow, Fabric Outlet, FM Store, Merrily We Quilt Along, and Shawn’s Sewing Center). There is also Sew Simple Quilt Shoppe in Ozark, Missouri.
Wow! We stayed one night in Ozark and I did not know it had a quilt shop!! We got there really late. I'm not sure we would have had time because of the Wonders of Wildlife aquarium and museum we went to....Thanks for sharing that information!
If that pedal pad doesn't work, the Martelli pad is the best. I've seemingly tried everything, and this is the only thing that has worked. It doesn't slip, even with all the dust/lint from the sewing room.
Have been to Branson a couple of times and loved the Quilts and Quilts shop. I found it a little overwhelming when I walked in but loved seeing all the quilts on display.
We went to Branson about 2 years ago. Wish we could go back someday. I also went to Quilts and Quilts. I found things that my local quilt shop does not carry like Quilting Novels and quilting playing cards. The quilted Cow was also a nice shop. We camped at the Escapee's camp ground as we are full time RVers! We saw a couple of the music shows in Branson and I especially liked the museum on the Main Street of Branson that had the upside down building (can't think of that name right now.) Glad you had a relaxing vacation.
It sounds like that was a great vacation! Thanks for sharing! I hope to go back soon! There is so much to see and do! Plus the country there is beautiful!
We were just there last week! My sister lives in Springfield. I visited a shop called Merrily be quilt along. All the Jim Morris attractions are amazing….top notch. We had a great time
Cute T-shirts! Housework is no fun... BUT I lucked out, my husband took over the kitchen when he retired last year. He cooks and cleans, so I got to retire also! I'm so blessed!
I really enjoyed hearing about your family's vacation in Branson and all your quilt shop visits! My best friend and I have gone there for the last four years and had a blast each time. Once we both took our sewing machines and did nothing but sew one day! Quilts and Quilts and The Quilted Cow are my favorites, but there is a little shop in an older shopping mall that sells Amish made quilts, can't remember the name just now but it's worth visiting, located just off Gradin Road. Sights and Sounds Theatre presents very realistic faith inspired productions that the whole family can enjoy. We saw the Jesus production and last year Esther. There's such a variety of entertainment and shopping available in Branson and it's not all just country music, although I enjoy that. Your Moda "thing-a-ma-jig" looks like it would be helpful in design work, may have to locate one myself. Thanks for sharing everything!
My family lives by Branson, we have been going there for over 25 years, love it. Love Quilts & Quilts and The Quilted Cow. We love going to Silver Dollar City. Glad you & your family had a good time.
@@thesimplequilter7499 Also, I have used several things from the Guidelines company. You can order direct from them online. I really like the guide stickers.
I live about 2 hrs from Branson and been there many, many times, but not since I started quilting. Thanks for the suggestions on the quilt shops. I do plan a trip soon. 😊
Sounds like a fabulous vacation with your loved ones! I liked seeing the quilt shops you went to and the other fun sights! I loved your tee shirts! I also enjoy Word Finds. Your hair cut looks cute on you. I was at Niagara Falls and Cooperstown last week. Great time!
Quilts and Quilts was wonderful. Quilted Cow is nearby and packed with beautiful fabrics and many of their kitted items. They also have a “lounge” for the men or kids to relax while ladies shop!
Love those t-shirts!!! I quit cooking when our family moved to SC. Every supper I fixed for them they complained. They never did that in NC. I got so discouraged that I told the 3 of them at that time I was not cooking anymore. My husband and 2 kids could do the cooking and I would do the dishes. It has stayed that way for 26 years now. Love it since it gives me more time to sew. Since that time I had a 3rd child. 17 and 12 years apart. That was a God thing since I could never have children without taking pills. He’s been a blessing to me and the Lord knew that I would need him with all of our medical needs. One day I’d love to go to Branson just to say I’ve been there.
We camp in Branson frequently. We store our trailer there to save gas $$. My 3 granddaughters love it. Top of the rock is my favorite place, it has a great restaurant. I wish Branson had more places to eat but other than that it’s a great family friendly place.
@@andrsn4u455it's a fun family place with lots to do and wonderful theme park, Silver Dollar City. Those of us who grew up taking our vacations there love the memories and want our kids and grandkids to create the same memories.

I went to Branson a few years ago and I was able to go to Quilts & Quilts and I agree that shop was the best I have been, the rest of Branson was ok, I probably will never go back I just was not that impressed.
Not at this time. Pop in to "visit" them when I am in Missouri otherwise I order from them. Each time I visit I look for the "fabric police" as I'm leaving the shop with my bags FULL of loot!!
There also is The Rag Barn in Alpena, Ark. This is a small Mom & Pop shop that has been in the family for almost 40 years. WONDERFUL people.
I agree, I shop there all the time! Do you live near here?
No but we are planning a return visit!!!
Quilts and Quilts shop is awesome and the owners as well. Been going to their shop for many years. Super nice people.
Yes! A great shop!
