【4K】Walking in the Avenida Paulista - São Paulo/Brazil - ep.018

Avenida Paulista is the most famous, known, cited, frequented and cosmopolitan avenue in the city of São Paulo. With its almost 3 kilometers long, it houses several buildings for different activities such as cultural spaces, faculties, hospitals, restaurants, churches, among others.
Paulista was born to expand the city and is always changing. In 1891, when the avenue was inaugurated, São Paulo was a city in expansion. The Paulista project was born from the need to expand the city beyond the central region.
The first houses were built with money from agriculture and commerce, the variety of inhabitants can be seen in the styles of buildings, at which time it housed the mansions of coffee entrepreneurs.
In the beginning, the traffic on the avenue consisted of carriages, trams carried by donkeys and bicycles, little by little, transport was modernized and the apex took place in the 90s, when the subway appeared in the region.

Excelent video! The mansion in poor state that appears in the video was bought by the São Paulo government. It will be restaured and transformed into a museum of local gastronomy.

If we were watching a movie and it was passing Brazil, we would see the favela, like if in Brazil just had favelas.
I'm satisfied to live in Vitória and São Paulo wouldn't be my first option if I had to change my life, but between Rio and São Paulo, I prefer São Paulo because this capital is more organized and cold. I don't like the heat of Vitória.
