I agree with Mike about the Bible's teaching on how mankind in general falls away from God, starting with day one and going on to this present day. I also believe there is prophecy in the Bible concerning real events to come specifically in the end time, the Second Coming, the Resurrection, and the Millennium. I still agree with Mike's teachings on holiness, and our free will and responsibility to purify our hearts and minds and to serve God, to put him first in our life. I don't think the teachings in Revelation concerning the last days and events are "Hollywood" tho. Much of the Bible consists of prophecy, specific events: ie prophecies re the destruction of the U.S. (Jeremiah 50 and 51); the Second Coming and the Resurrection is orthodox Christian doctrine. But I can also see that real events foretold for the end times apply spiritually throughout history when it comes to human nature, making idols and false images of God. It's not just the people in the end days who 'exchange the truth of God for a lie.'

Well, in his defense, that same Word in Greek is used elsewhere as "reprobate". Before 70 A.D., they had a chance of recovering: 2 Timothy 2:25-26 KJV - In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. But i agree with you, today, we can't hop off our own Cross and ask for more Sacrifice to cover new sins.

Victory for the believer is explained in Romans 6 thru 8. If this is accurate, then REPENTANCE is primarily a rejection of all that derives life source from Adam alone and to cleave to the Resurrected Savior for newness of life. So Romans 1:23 in mentioning "exchanging the glory" of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles, is referring to a time when the "glory departed" the Old Testament building of worship -AND- powerfully suggests that the Holy Spirit is NOT present in a "believer" that serves "sin in the flesh".
Romans 8:8-9 CSB
[8] Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.
The implication is that the Spirit of God only abides in you when you are living in line with the Spirit. Furthermore, the fact that the entire "world system" is always in direct opposition to this mindset is quite sobering.

Well, in his defense, that same Word in Greek is used elsewhere as "reprobate". Before 70 A.D., they had a chance of recovering:

@@drenaejaj from my understanding and after doing some research a reprobate is Beyond hope of recieving salvation since they made the personal decision to willfully believe a Lie and Reject the Truth after God is continuously showing the truth to them, but they choose to live in sin, hating the truth and so Hardened to the Love of God theres just no getting through to them but if someone rejects the holy spirit which is blastphemy against the holy spirit they cannot recieve anymore forgiveness according to jesus in the gospels but God goes through endless measures to get a hold of them. i dont think a reprobate would be interested in being saved or recieving salvation. therefore God will leave them to themselves but i have heard testimonies of people falling away from God and going back into sin amd backsliding so far from jesus but they were able to come back when this happens the individual is now a prodigal son or daughter in my personal understanding a reprobate had no desire in his or her heart to do anything right they desire to do only evil it speaks clearly pf this in romans 1 but Only God truly knows God bless amd thank you for responding to my Question! :)

Reprobation is someone being unable to believe on Jesus. When someone rejects God so many times, God rejects them and gives them over, making them unable to believe, and giving them over unto the lusts of their own flesh. Nothing can keep you out of Heaven once you have faith in Jesus.

By our own volition, we can not please God Romans 7:9-25 - making Jesus Christ Lord enables us. Jn 14:15-18, Jn 3:16, 21 - the prodigal son is a picture of recovering from depravity and returning to our Father.

I’m not in disagreement with the video. While God does change our desires, we still have a carnal nature. Why else would Paul have been pre chastened to prevent him from becoming self reliant (walking after the flesh) and not reliant on God (walking after the Spirit)? Why else would Paul declare that he “brought his body under subjection” unless he himself Should become a “castaway (reprobate {same Greek Word})”
The sin nature is not turned off like a “light switch”. 👈 due to this line of thinking, many believers fail and turn back. We must take root in God’s Word. 👈 this “light switch sanctification theology” is in contrast to believers who see no need to repent due to a false gospel which is rebuked in this video. Light switch theology vs can’t stop sinning theology are two opposing views which are both incorrect. Both false gospels are deadly.

Victory for the believer is explained in Romans 6 thru 8. If this is accurate, then REPENTANCE is primarily a rejection of all that derives life source from Adam alone and to cleave to the Resurrected Savior for newness of life.
