Thank you Mary for continuing to post John's content. He would've wanted that I'm sure. I miss you John... Thank you for all the lessons you taught us.
1. Caloric Surplus, count your calories!!! 2. Train real hard! If you do 3-4 exercises per bodypart and 12 sets, go to the failure on the last sets! Everyone is different though, so tailor to yourself. 3. Train once you have recovered again, stay in tune with that. If everything is recovered, train what is weakest overall. 4. If in a surplus, and you are super active, your TDEE will be high, so slow down, relax more, and it will be easier to put on muscle/weight. 5. Recovery!!! Sleep 8hr, maybe .5hr nap, intraworkout EAAs and carbs! Also, Reduce stress in overall life. BONUS Slow digesting meal before bed, Grass Fed Steak and Eggs before bed.
May God rest his soul. I learned so much from John and will apply all the knowledge and tips for my entire life. I will never forget how the man answered to all my comments and actually gave me motivation and tips when the Times where tought.
Thank you for continuing to post these amazing videos, John was an amazing person, father, mentor, and inspiration (and still is in all of those ways). I hope you, the Meadows family, are doing better since his passing. My hearts go out to you guys. I look up to John and aspire greatly to be the type of man he was due to his beautiful character.
Stress and sleep are my weak links. I have six kids, sole income earner, and money is tight. Working at it as best as I can, but it’s a battle everyday! Just wanted to share that just in case anyone is in the same boat. You’re not alone! Keep lifting and eating healthy, focus on the good things, and get ripped.
Thank you so much for these continuing uploads. John’s wisdom will continue to help us all learn for years and years to come. He is true legend of the fitness community.
I didnt know he died 😢 Been watching him almost everyday for the past few months since I got back in the gym... Also, used to watch him back in the day. Now I'm sad 😥 RIP 🙏
Changed my whole outlook on working out but helped with life In an even greater capacity. Thank you always for the lessons and thank you for whoever is still posting
I love how he always openly differentiates what works best for naturals vs enhanced, as opposed to claiming something is the single best way to do things. Remembering the late great John Meadows
I appreciate that you still post johns content. He offered so much to the fitness community. I did have an idea and I know a whole bunch of people in the community would love to continue to support John. It would be awesome to see different people (from elite fts, John call, szat strength) do some content on behalf of John maybe sharing different lessons they learned from him or experiences when training with John. I would love to watch those videos
John thank you for saving many life's including mine by getting me focused and student of the sport. The reason I started lifting was because of MOUNTAINDOG training 💪 so much knowledge not enough time but you left us with thousands of videos and information. Thank you Mary mountaindog jr !!!!stay strong we all are here for you guys. Supporter if Granite 💪
I actually use those purple dumbbells in the gym for my rear delt bench flys lol. They embarrass my natty self every time. We miss you, John!! ❤ I hope your family is doing well. You have helped so many of us and will always be missed. Not just for the bodybuilding and nutrition advice, but for how you actually cared about who listened to you and who you were interacting with. Thank you for many years of help in building my physique.
Same I thought he was just some regular bodybuilder that tried to sale programs and gave a bunch of exercises that wouldn't work like a lot of fitness influencers I finally started watching him shortly before he passed but I realized he was actually a pretty cool sincere man rip
I lean towards excess of 350 surplus and high intensity. Workers for me and recovery is quite quick too. Thanks for talking about stress... Its impacted me for quite awhile.... But I'm handling it much better now💪👌
That last bonus tip I really appreciate. I’m natural, and of course I have a day job, I’m not a body builder just trying to get big for once in my life. I’m a 145lb 5’8” male. Always been thin and hard to gain muscle or fat. So my last meal of the night can’t be a protein shake? Like 1 large scoop? Maybe I should atleast put it in milk? Whey protein is real right? Like it will work for me, I don’t only need every meal to be a real meal? Thank you for awesome content!
Haven’t watched you videos in a while as I was new to this then coronavirus came n ruined it for me then broke my leg . Hopefully be back at it soon . Ace advice 🏆
I've noticed that when you get beyond intermediate level you can handle much more than 4 sets to failure per workout as a natural athlete. Might need to deload once in a while though.
Thank you Mary for continuing to post John's content. He would've wanted that I'm sure. I miss you John... Thank you for all the lessons you taught us.
Facts brother, we gotta get a Yo-yo 🪀 trick in there too!! 😉 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
How did he pass?
Been watching him for months now. Just to realize they’re old videos 😞. RIP
Just old videos, it's a shame imo..
So sorry to learn of his passing. I just discovered his videos today and subscribed.
