    but i find doing simultaneously equations is much more work why couldn’t we simply find q, sub in a point and solve for a?

      Yes, (0;0) can be the turning point when q = 0

      Yes your coordinate for turning point can be (0,0)
      It will be (0,0) when the
      y/ turning point is on zero which means q=0
